YANIQUE NEWMAN, Founder of Be Unique Functional Fitness, LLC., is excited to begin this new journey, along with her clients. Fitness has always been a part of Yanique's life. An avid athlete, her passion for sports led her to pursue a career in fitness as a Personal Trainer. She played four years of collegiate soccer where she developed great leadership, while achieving many athletic accomplishments.
I met Yanique when she subbed at the Westside Y and it was the best thing that could have happened to me because she became my trainer. I have been in the gym since the '90s and this is the best trainer I've ever had. She's focused, thorough, knows the human body and she's fun to work with. When my session is over, there is no question that I worked - I am drenched in sweat.

Yanique helped me get on track after having a baby. She was able to motivate me and cater to my specific needs. She’s well informed on training practices and an awesome person to be around/ work out with. Everyone could use a yanique!

I’ve had the opportunity to train with Yanique in 2016. Even then, I saw her passion for fitness and health realizing early on that it’s a great way to connect and help people. I’ve had experience with lifting weights but she still had a lot of improvements for me while taking my current life situation and fitness/health goals into account. If you’re in a rut mentally or physically, definitely visit her because she’ll help you take that first step while being there with you along your journey. Though she means business when working out, she knows how to have fun and share some laughs
