Services
Northside Veterinary Hospital was started in 1995 by Dr. Jeff and Emily Wood. After being built in roughly eight weeks, the office opened with a computer in the reception area on a piece of plywood, supported by a two filing cabinets and three employees. Since then, we have gone through several remodels, both downstairs and upstairs.
Physical exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, dental disease, skin allergies, and more! For puppies & kittens- vaccination boosters should be given at 6, 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age.
Skin diseases are very common in dogs and cats and are one of the top reasons why owners seek veterinary care for their pet. They can be very frustrating and challenging to treat without proper knowledge and performing diagnostic tests. The most common initial symptom of skin problems in dogs and cats is itching.
Over 80 percent of dogs and cats have periodontal disease, resulting in inflammation of the gums and bone that hold the teeth in place. Dental disease causes pain and difficulty eating and can lead to other health problems. At Northside Veterinary Hospital, we offer a full range of basic and advanced veterinary dental care treatments for your pet.
Northside Veterinary Hospital provides basic oncology and chemotherapy treatment for your pets. We see many cases of animal cancer each week. Many of these are second and third opinions from other practitioners. We customize the treatment protocol to each patient often combining surgical, regenerative medicine, and chemotherapy to achieve the best results.

Positive: Professionalism, Reliability, Responsiveness
My dog was acting odd, I called Northside, they got her right in, diagnosed her problem, implemented interventions quickly which resulted in getting my dog back on her feet and home before Christmas. She's an important member of my family and Northside treats her like she is important to them as well.

Excellent! You got me in at the last minute with my old dog and did all kinds of great things that are now making him feel wonderful! I truly appreciate the service in these trying times because I was forced to find a vet pronto as my old vet of 10 years was just too busy for me. I had always heard Northside was expensive but that is not the case. Job well done where your pets come first!

This place is awesome! They took care of my Yorkie who has had an ear problem for a year and a half, we took her to two other vets during that year and a half and they did no good. 4 days after we were here my Yorkie is great no ear problem. Facility is clean, and everybody there was super nice! 👍❤️

Everyone in this facility was Amazing! My dog had to have surgery after an accident . Unfortunately she passed away, but the caring and compassionate Dr Wood, kept me updated with personal phone calls throughout the day and night. And 1 week after her passing I received a touching sympathy card signed by all the employees.. I would highly recommend Northside Vet to anyone.

I have 3 yorkie terriers and I drive an hour to get there. I appreciate the care they provide. When I make a suggestion it’s taken seriously and everything is discussed with me. Because I have 3 they coordinate the care to make things easier for me. I love this place. Everyone there is an animal lover.
My father also brings his 14 year old pit/boxer and they are great to her too!

This place is filled with loving and caring people. I've called crying with issues and they do everything they can to help your animal. I've never been to an animal clinic that ALWAYS puts the animal before the money! They are not pushy or judgmental. This is the best place to get care for your animal! I drive 40 miles to get there!

I am very disappointed. I love the vet here and have been a loyal client for years. Last week I took both my dogs in for dental care, one needed extractions, one needed masses removed. The customer service was terrible. From them forgetting to call me after the procedures to my not getting pain meds or antibiotics; from the receptionist not knowing any of my discharge instructions to not caring that my dogs were up vomiting all night after the procedures. I felt like I deserved to speak to someone that knew anything after the procedures. I was asked to sign a form that I wanted pain meds and
