The Adrian Animal Clinic was the first free-standing building constructed as a veterinary clinic in Lenawee County. The clinic was built in 1947 by Wallace G. May DVM. Adrian Animal Clinic is a full service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

Adrian Animal Clinic is proud to serve the Adrian MI area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Michael Herr, who is a licensed, experienced Adrian veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. Michael Herr is the owner of the Adrian Animal Clinic. Following graduation from Michigan State University in 1971, Dr. Herr returned to his hometown of Adrian to begin his career in Veterinary Medicine. Starting as an employee of the Adrian Animal Clinic, followed by a business partnership, he became the sole owner in 1986.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us immediately.

We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.

Dr. Herr is an amazing Vet himself and whole staff is so kind and caring. There compassion is incredible and so appreciated.
I highly recommend them to everyone for their animals health needs and the groomer is also great for dogs and for my long haired cat! Yes cat...only one around that does cats and makes him so handsome!

Dr Herr and His staff are so great, I wish I were related to them or could go to office parties. We've had a lot of high needs dogs. A Newfoundland(Dr Herr collaborated with and connected us to the best physical therapist and neurosurgeon in the state. He answered every call), Saint Bernard(A rescue that has allergy and ear/skin issues at times, our Lab that sufferd bone cancer(Dr Herr came to our home so she could pass away with us at home.) Dr. Herr is the only vet that I will ever trust. I even drive 45 minutes to see him! He is very kind, reassuring, and trustworthy...never tries to "up-sell" care that is not needed. The whole staff are nice and very accommodating. Whenever my baby is ill they always make time in Dr. Herr's busy schedule for me to bring her in. The pricing is also very fair.

Yesterday was a very difficult day. Dr. Herr and everyone there was very caring. Sophie got wonderful care yesterday, just as she has in the past. Yesterday didn't end the way I thought it would when I took her in the morning, but I'm sure that she was as comfortable as possible. Thank you, everyone. And thank you to Dr. Herr for asking questions phrased so i could answer with a nod of my head.

Terrible! Worst clinic in all of Adrian!
Went to this clinic only because literally every other clinic in town was booked. Squeezed in only because it was an emergency, but even then I had to wait an hour to be seen.
While waiting I noticed that I was the only one there with a cat. Everyone else had a dog, to which the entire staff was very warm and friendly. When it came to my cat they were very cold and unresponsive. Paying the bill the tech seemed more interested in clocking out than making sure my cat received proper care.
The vet himself was very disinterested in my cat's health
