Services
The doctors and staff of Natural Bridge Animal Hospital are fully committed to the care of your pet. We have voluntarily sought accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. This means that we regularly have our practice evaluated by AAHA to ensure that we comply with their high standards.
Platelets that are found in whole blood contain many healing growth factors and bioactive proteins. These bioactive proteins can initiate tissue healing, and assist with inflammation. The treatment offers an affordable all natural alternative to drugs and steroids. The Companion therapy laser system sends photons deep into tissue leading to healthier cells, healthier tissue, and healthier animals.
Dr. Kerri A. McDermott is a 2011 graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a New Jersey native, who lived in Montana prior to moving to North Carolina; and is now very excited to have put down roots in Virginia. Dr. McDermott loves veterinary medicine, and is passionate about serving you and your pets.
Tristan is the practice manager at Natural Bridge Animal Hospital, but also fills in wherever needed. He entered the veterinary field in 2008 as a kennel assistant and has worked in 4 different Charlotte, NC area hospitals, as everything from receptionist to rehabilitation technician. Tristan moved to Roanoke with his wife, Kerri McDermott, in July of 2016, with their intentions to purchase NBAH.

Unique animal hospital tucked away at Natural Bridge. Unique meaning? One-of-a-kind. Could not ask for a more caring and dedicated veterinarian and staff. Some may say "they're pricey ", I say " you get what you pay for, top quality ". They go the extra mile it takes. Dr McDermott saved my precious Mac's life. There is no doubt in my mind he would not be alive today if it was not for her. Mac is cancer free almost five years later. They have my vote. Two thumbs up, you cannot go wrong. ❤️

We were visiting in Lexington, VA and my friend’s dog hurt her foot. Being an elderly pup, we needed to get it looked at right away. After calling four or more closer vets, which could not fit her in, we lucked out with Natural Bridge Animal Hospital. Everyone from the owners to the technicians to the receptionist were incredibly accommodating and welcoming.

I cant recommend them enough. My fur baby was not well yesterday and after 4 previous calls, imcluding our regular vet they were the ones who fit us in. Everyone was exceptional and my Tye got great care. Im so thankful for everything they done. My boy wont go anywhere else from now on. Dr McDermott you Rock!

Natural Bridge Animal Hospital got our dog right in today when I called in urgency. They didn’t even hesitate when I explained our dogs situation. This is our second time using them in the past two years and as of today we are switching vet offices from Roanoke to Natural Bridge. Our current vets office wouldn’t even give us an appointment for two… weeks! Such a WONDERFUL staff, excellent doctor and very thorough. They really do care about their animal patients. Thank you so very much again for seeing our Paisley girl and getting her on the road to recovery.

I have to say that I am very impressed with Dr McDormett and all of the NBAH staff. They have been excellent to Scamp and all of my/his friend's furry friends, who frequent the facility. They have been professional, thorough, personable; and they follow up with you because they genuinely care about our animals.

I'd like to thank everyone at the Natural Bridge Animal Hospital for thier kindness and care that they have shown me and my Chocolate Lab Remington. Remington underwent surgery due to a viscous dog bite to his neck. The staff stayed over till 9:30 pm that night helping Remington with injury. I highly recommend everyone that has a pet to check out the Natural Bridge Animal Hospital. Again, thank you all for y'alls help.
