Our experienced doctors and staff are here to provide your pet with exceptional veterinary care. Our mission is to inspire our community to care for its pets through education and example.
Services
Dr. Edward Zak and his wife, Cindy, started Edgewater in 1990. Since then, we have grown to a multi-doctor practice with additional support staff. We are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley with outstanding views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from our front doorstep. Our staff is a fun-loving, energetic, close knit group who strives to make you and your pet feel at home during each and every visit!

When we adopted our two cats in 2019, our cats received excellent care from Edgewater for their spays. When we brought them back for the follow up visit, they found some intestinal parasites and gave us medicine to treat them with. On our subsequent visit, our cats received excellent care. So we were surprised to find that when we tried to schedule an annual physical, we were told that our cats wouldn't require an annual physical and to contact Edgewater if/when any issues came up. For the past 2 years our cats have been in excellent condition and nothing has come up until now in November 2021

Edgewater is absolutely wonderful. They are the best vet I’ve ever taken my animals to & I appreciate it greatly.
The staff is always kind, responsive, professional, know what they are doing, & clearly love the animals they care for. Navigating the pandemic has been really hard for everyone & businesses, but they are doing it with excellence.
All three of my cats like them too! :)
