Services
At TenderNest we provide a teacher-guided, safe and nurturing home environment. By utilizing the Montessori Method, we evoke and celebrate each child's natural curiosity and desire to learn. We place special emphasis on natural, home-cooked meals and outdoor exercise to provide the energy children require for healthy growth as well as intellectual and emotional development.
At TenderNest, we understand that different children have different needs. That's why we provide all of our children with a well-rounded activity schedule based on the principles of the Montessori method. Each of the activities below will be tailored to your child's age, skill range and stage of developmental to ensure the highest level of engagement.
By preparing an environment that allows infants to explore these four areas, an extraordinary amount of development can happen in the very first year of life. Below are three ways we prepare an environment conducive to this development. We teach and use sign language.

This is an important preverbal and emerging language skill which enables babies to communicate needs and desires quickly and with less frustration while helping them learn early verbal communication. We are very particular about what infants consume as their nutrition is equally important to their care and learning.
Our toddlers' classroom is made up of practical life materials which allows the children to master activities such as sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and scooping. This allows the children to learn societal living activities in a meaningful way that develops independence, motor skills, coordination, responsibility and an orderly way of thinking.
Our pre-schoolers' materials are focused on teaching concepts related to basic subjects. For example, to teach writing, students use sandpaper letters. The children then trace these letters with their fingers to learn the shape and sound of each letter. Another example is the use of bead chains to teach math concepts, specifically multiplication.
