I was charged for $400 for water, hot water heating, and sewer for the first month I moved in. I checked the meters, and there were ton of hot water usage couple days before I moved in here.
Edit: I was able to resolve my issue in a very timely manner and experienced friendly management.

Love living here! Cute and modern . Little noisy as front doors are large and people slam them all the time. Leasing team is awesome! Andrew and Christa are awesome! Overall, 9/10 recommend

Latitude is really a great place to stay! I am glad we found this place. The staff, especially the leasing agents, are amazing! The appliances and finishing in the unit are good quality and modern. The place is clean and bright.
The location of Latitude is also great because the metro is directly across the road and the Giant store is walking distance away. I've called maintenance staff a few times and it has been a quick and pleasant experience. The complimentary Hello Alfred service is also nice to have!
The only 2 things I would recommend some work on is the business center as it is only a

I moved to the Latitudes Apartments mid-November and am really glad I made this move. Living in a new apartment is so much better than the last place which was nearly 20 years old. New, modern appliances, very quiet HVAC, modern bathrooms with quite a few “Extras” that make things really convenient.
If you have a few minutes, plan a tour of the Latitude Apartments. The amenities on the Rooftop and the Clubroom are quite amazing!!

If you had asked me early November what I would rate Latitude, it would have been 4 stars. However, the complex has started to take away resident services and has not lowered rent to compensate.
First, they have implemented Fetch Package. This means that instead of popping downstairs to pick up your package at the front desk, you have to mail your package to a warehouse in Alexandria and schedule a time for it to get delivered. The Greystar management team sold this as an added service but I have no idea how you could look at it that way. There is no way to opt out - the building will refuse packages

Lived here for 2.5 years. We were the first to sign a lease for this building and second to move in. Paid to break the lease due having a young child and the building issues piling up. In general, the issues related to this building are due to the poor building design and quality. It isn't really the fault of the current management company. This building is only 3-4 years old but its had at least 3 owners in that time. Some of the big issues that caused us to break the lease were the constant fire alarms, hot water issues, and broken elevators. The positives are the location. Within 1 block was

I lived at Latitude for one year when it was managed by Greystar:
Pros: It is right across from the Virginia Square metro. The concierge staff are really friendly. The residents are also friendly. Some of the staff is competent.
Cons: The fire alarms go off everyday. There is no exaggeration here. I used to get home at 5 pm and the fire alarms would go off within about 15-30 mins. The worst was when I was in the shower in the evenings and it would go off, or if you’re at the gym you have to break your workout. And there are some pretty frequent ones that occur around 10 PM to 11 PM. It was

I was one of the first people to move into the building in 2017 and I must say I simply love it here. It's quiet, I sleep well and most importantly it is very clean I have NEVER seen any type of pests in the building. I have been through each management team and they have always been very friendly and thorough in all aspects of my communication with them. I see a few negative reviews and the only complaint I would have to agree with is the fire alarms used to go off a lot and the doors are a little heavy when closing sometimes but I really can't believe anyone would give this place a low rating

Seamless rental agreement and move-in process. Very new and smartly designed apartment interiors. Attentive and personable staff.
I had an issue with renewing my lease (my fault) that resulted in an inaccurate billing. Justin and Carlos worked to resolve the billing mix-up within 24 hours (over a Friday and Saturday). Effort on my part was minimal.
Would recommend this to anyone looking for luxury housing in the Ballston/VA Square/Clarendon area.
Addition:
My bedroom is like a tomb. Incredibly quiet and the blackout shades installed on the floor-to-ceiling windows make it almost pitch black

I have tried to be patient but the elevators are still down and the fire alarms still go of way too often and the parking gate is still not working.
I now see why previous reviews touched on these type of issues.
The staff is great, but way too much is wrong here especially when the level of rent is considered.
One bay of elevators has been down for weeks now. Which means if someone is moving in or out, that leaves one elevator for both buildings. All elevators went out during a storm a few weeks ago. Storms of this type happen here every year, so this long of a delay on repairs is unacceptable
