As one of San Diego's oldest home health agencies, Firstat Nursing Services has the experience and credentials to provide a higher level of care for elders, seniors and patients of all ages in the home or on-site at assisted living facilities. You will find our nursing staff is friendly, compassionate and attentive to every patient need, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and doctor visits.

Firstat Nursing Services offers flexible payment options. Home care services are paid by the client directly, Long Term Care Insurance Plan or Workers Compensation Insurance. Firstat Nursing Services will bill and accept assignment of benefits for Long Term Care Insurance. If you have insurance from a company that is not listed, we will call them to determine your benefits requirements.
Do you have caregivers? We have C.N.A.'s (Certified Nursing Assistants) who are similar to caregivers except they are licensed and can legally give patients hands-on care. Do you take accept Medicare / Medi-Cal? Firstat Nursing Services offers flexible payment options. Pricey, but reliable.
After 2 weeks in the hospital I was able to go home, but needed a nursing service to visit a few times a day to infuse an antibiotic. I got a reference from a friend. In total, three nurses over a few weeks visited five times. They taught my kids how to do the infusions, change my dressing, and other stuff. Scheduling was always easy, and each of the three nurses was always professional, competent, and pleasant.
The down side is the cost. $250/hour (or part thereof) and my visits never took anything close to an hour.

My experience in apply for this company as a nurse. Well it wasn't a good one the office staff was talking extremely negative about different nurse in front of my presents making statements such as that why they don't have no work. I passed the 1 hour long competency test and told them my availability and had all my documents. I don't know if it was a race issue or that they just didn't like me . But I just want to write this review and let them how they made me feel. I hope you in improve your company

I'm at a loss for words at the level of hostility the owner of this company has thwarted in my direction. Im a former employee and was going through a hard time after not working for this company for almost a year because there was an issue where my account was jammed or something and nobody was offering any information for me. I simply responded to another persons comment on an advertisement which happened to appear on my Facebook account with the reply stating "I emailed them and didn't get a reply either"- and the photos are what they sent me in a PM. I do not appreciate

Firstat came and offered their services to my brother 10 hours a day, split shift 7 days a week. They were able to fill the shift initially but last weekend (Friday/ Saturday). They called to let him know the shift could not be filled. My brother is unable to cook and do any activities of daily living due to end stage kidney, heart, and liver disease. He is also a fragile diabetic. By the time my Family got to his apartment to get his food and his medication his dextrose (sugar level) were greater than 600( normal is 80-100). If we were unable to reach him he would have been in dire straits
