When I was a teenager I went to the dermatologist for acne. We all have it then. This is a true story. He put me on one antibiotic after another. Each one was stronger until he prescribed Accutane. I rarely write reviews but I had to for the marma abhyanga massage that I had yesterday. Neela is AMAZING! Probably the best massage that I’ve had in a long time. The space is beautiful and the desk staff was super helpful when I needed information on how to get to my next destination. Overall a fabulous experience.

I'm giving three stars because I've heard great things about this place. Unfortunately I can't offer my own review as, despite having emailed and phoned, no one ever got back to me to schedule an appointment. I suppose they're doing well enough that they don't need the business, but it was a highly disappointing display of customer "service".

I purchased a gift certificate for my wife. When she tried to buy on line the hand written code on the gift certificate would not work. after several tries still nothing. Could not get through to customer service and no call backs or responses to email. Horrible customer service. We could not get a hold of a human to speak to - terrible!!!!!

So I love this place, but I would caution you that your experience is really dependant on who you get as your provider. I had a life-changing massage my first time visiting. I was eagerly awaiting my visit for a follow on massage when I was booked with a provider who had a month of experience at the establishment. It was one of the worst massages of my life. The complete opposite of my initial experience. Literally, I felt like it was just rubbing oil. I spoke up three times during the massage to ask for more pressure. For my first ayurvedic massage I am completely sold. This place is lovely, calm, well lit, evenly scented and priced fairly. The Abhyanga massage came with a scalp oil rub down and my tender edges needed it. A lil cold in the room but other than that i was completely comfortable and relaxed. My therapist was professional, patient and friendly, check in was simple.

My skincare routine is getting regular facials with Mina. I've been coming for years and my skin has gotten way better. Mina makes the most of the time she has with you and I always leave relaxed, with great skin, and with so many good tips and product recommendations. I also buy the Pratima projects and they last for a long time and don't use harsh chemicals. Go see Mina, she's so kind and will help your skin so much.

This is my absolute favorite spa in the world. My friend Renee introduced me to it a few years ago. Ever since, I have come into the city specifically for this spa and their skincare products. I am not one to spend money on anything except what I really believe in! I have now used these products for years.
Pratima uses the most quality ingredients, all of which are easily identifiable. I love being able to trust what is in my skincare. Their spa is beautiful, and cozy. It feels like I am on a lovely vacation when there. Each of their spa practitioners is lovely and knowledgeable.

An oasis in the city. Dr Pratima Raitchur is aloof to the point of bordering on downright snotty..... but she knows her stuff. I've tried most treatments and love them. Only complaint: some therapists try to push products on you or talk too damn much. I find politely but firmly saying "thanks but no thanks helps greatly". You are forewarned

I am done. Now I have had two products purchased from here that have either been poorly packaged and/or had mold in them. This is overpriced garbage.
Seems like it is made in a dirty factory in a basement in Queens or in India. Do I really want to put products that have mold growing in them on my face? How about very heavy and stupid glass containers with the cheap thin plastic tops that crack easily? I have grown up with legitimate manufacturers who use appropriate packaging, and I have NEVER had mold on two different almost unused products.

If you live in NYC or are passing through... and love your skin. This is the place to go. It;s all natural and just amazing.
When I was 24, I had never done anything with my skin. But someone insisted on bleaching the hair on my face. Well.. i winded up with burn marks on my face. When they didn't go away,I went to Pratima Skincare.
Dr. Raichur took one look at my skin and was able to fix the issue naturally with herbs and natural skin care. To say I am grateful does not even cover it. Her kindness and understanding made what was a horrible and frightening situation so much better.

This is not a review for the spa, rather for Dr. Pratima Raichur herself and the clinical services she offers. I have gotten a few treatments at the spa and I think they are great (except I very much question their use of oil, even on acne-prone skin.)
