We strive to offer sound advice and optimal veterinary care, allowing you to enjoy your companion for a maximum number of years. We help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy. Eastham Veterinary Hospital is a welcoming, small animal hospital providing high quality veterinary services, preventative and wellness care, surgical services, dentistry and more to the pets of the Lower Cape community.
Services
We provide wellness examinations and immunizations as the cornerstone of high quality good health care for your pet. We know that it is far easier and safer to prevent medical problems than it is to treat them after they occur. Therefore, we offer routine well-care visits, discussions of your pet's health, and proper vaccinations to make sure your pet stays healthy and to catch minor problems before they can become major health issues.
Our highly skilled veterinary team is experienced in the most common surgical procedures. We perform spays and neuters, declaws, tumor removal and biopsy, abdominal surgeries, removal of gastrointestinal foreign bodies and some orthopedic procedures, all under the safest possible anesthetic and with the utmost attention to patient monitoring.
The practice of high-quality veterinary medicine focuses on the entire patient - from medical issues that affect physical functioning, to emotional and psychological issues that affect well-being. Experiencing pain can affect the body's physical functioning and can have a detrimental effect on a patient's well-being and state of mind.
Diagnostic imaging is critical in diagnosing patients. The ability to use advanced equipment to 'see' exactly what is normal or abnormal within, as well as plan and execute effective treatment has revolutionized veterinary medicine and our ability to take care of your pet. We are a clear leader in diagnostic imaging.
Eastham Veterinary Hospital offers complete dental care services and products. Dental disease is an often-overlooked threat to the comfort and health of your pet. Because dental disease often has few readily apparent signs, bringing your pet in for a wellness examination is the only way to ensure detection.

We used Eastham Vet for years - years and years. We were happy, and then they were sold to a corporate entity. What irritates me so much is that this office refused to send my dog's prescription over to Chewy to be filled. Instead, I am being forced to go to their office and pick up the script they're holding hostage in the hope that they get the $$$ when/if I choose to fill the script at their office. Well no dice, I will not buy anything from
these folks. It's this short sighted inconvenience and greed that made me take the sound step to go to Wellfleet Vetinary Hospital.

Took my dog to the eastham vet yesterday and overall I was happy to have gotten a second opinion about my dog's ear which has been bothering her for some time now. What I didn't appreciate was a comment made about her coat being "less than exceptional" when asking if she had any stomach problems. The comment just seemed very left field and the language of it didn't help me understand whatever she could have meant pertaining to my dog's health. If you want to infer about other issues my dog may have, so be it, but do so in a respectful way. I bypassed it when it was

Thanks Jennifer Colton Hospital Manager for Herring Cove and Eastham Veterinary Hospital. If you did not fire me as a customer I would not have found the best veterinary service on Cape Cod Brewster animal Hospital, after being a customer of yours for close to 25 years for 3 dogs and 2 cats. Since this new company has taken over and you have arrived both office have lost good vets and office help. So I complain about the service or should I say not service and how you never answer the phones or emails and you fire me as a customer. Dr. Jay you need to leave this place and reopen your own practice

I am very upset with the way I was treated over the phone by a woman with the name Jen. I live in Provincetown and usually use Herring Cove Animal Hospital that is also located in Provincetown. I called Herring Cove this morning and was asked to leave a message because they could not pick up the phone at 10am, so I left a message stating that my dog has had diarrhea for 3 days and I was VERY concerned , so please call me back. I never heard back from them ,so I called back at 3pm only to get a message again the same one saying to leave a message and then the voice mailbox was FULL , so I could

Unfortunately, not especially reassuring about the competence of the vets, or even friendly. Rather cold and indifferent in explaining the pet's need or treatment. The front desk staff is especially unhelpful. Getting an appointment without a long wait is always a challenge - even when my pet needs to be seen sooner than a week away. Plus, they are EXTREMELY expensive for basic services and ridiculously expensive for basic meds like heartworms. I have found an alternative on the Cape and am glad to leave this practice

Do not go to this clinic. They prescribed carprofen for my dog who has kidney disease. He is now hospitalized to try and bring his values back to normal. I informed them of his kidney issues which was probably ignored. Or the vet didn't know better. The vet at ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER believes it was the carprofen that elevates his kidney values, to the point of needing to be hospitalized.

Have always thought they were an 'OK' animal hospital, with both the vets and the desk staff. About a year ago, I brought my dog in who was diagnosed with cancer. The middle aged female vet was as cold as a fish to me. Basically saying 'well, we don't have a surgeon for a month, not sure what you are going to do.". I was out of there as soon as the bill was paid and will not return.

My boyfriend and I were on vacation in Provincetown a few years ago when our Labrador Retriever, Rudy, dislocated his back leg. We were in a mad search to find a vet in the area and got 4 recommendations to see Dr. Kelley right away.
Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to put Rudy to sleep. He had terrible arthritis and surgery would be too much for him to recover and be the happy, active dog he once was. This had to be the hardest decision we ever had to make, but Dr. Kelley guided us through it all and helped us with our grieving process.
Not to mention, Dr. Kelley was also

I must commend the Eastham Veterinary Hospital for the care that was given to my Doberman, Abby. She became very ill after eating a bone purchased at a Farmer's Market. Not living on Cape, a friend of mine who uses this veterinary hospital, recommended it to me. The receptionist was very helpful and I was able to get an appointment the same day. Dr. Eric Stone was gentle and a knowledgeable doctor. He did a very thorough job examining and explaining Abby's illness and the recommended procedures/medications. He began with the "least" invasive and "least" expensive

I've been a client at Eastham Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years, but recently switched to a different practice. I felt some loyalty to Dr Kelley, the owner of EVH (now Lower Cape Veterinary Services, comprised of Stony Hill Animal Clinic in Chatham, EVH in Eastham, Duck Creek Animal Clinic in Wellfleet, and Herring Cove Animal Hospital in Provincetown) because I had worked with him many years ago and thought he was a pretty decent guy at that time. But their prices have gone way up over the last few years... WAY UP (I pulled out and compared some bills from 2002 to today) and the value
