If it were possible to give a 12 out of 10 I would give a 15 to David Feathers and his team at Avelloe Mortgage. He was absolutely unbelievable. His process is the most open and honest of anyone I could imagine in any business, let alone the mortgage field. He made us feel at ease with issues regarding the "fiscal cliff" and presidential election.
A keen understanding of the mortgage process is one of the first things a borrower looks for when choosing a mortgage professional. The process itself can be extremely daunting in today's economic reality. Many Banks and Credit Unions as well as Mortgage Lenders are taking in excess of three months to close a mortgage loan right now.
Are the qualifications for a program at one bank the same as the programs at another bank? What is the difference between FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, Portfolio, Jumbo and Private Money mortgages? What is mortgage insurance and do you have to pay it? What is the difference between a fixed rate, adjustable or short term fixed mortgage?
