Almost totally awesome meal. Our calimare appetizer was delicious. My salmon was perfectly grilled and the wife's walleye was expertly cooked. The fries and vege sides we're great. The huck margaritas were very yummy. We took dessert home, a blueberry crisp, and it was no good. The berries tested old and were very chewy. Service was excellent, as usual. Nice atmosphere. We'll be back, but not for the blueberry crisp.

We almost did not go here (despite it being the only eating establishment in Craig) because of the horrible reviews on Service. I’m not sure if those were all left by disgruntled employees or what, but the service couldn’t have been friendlier and the food was decidedly more polished than we had expected given the remote locale and difficulty of sourcing both quality ingredients as well as kitchen staff. They’re a bit understaffed like everywhere these days in the service industry, hence being closed 2 nights a week right now. Scott the bartender was top notch, cracking jokes and engaging

The food is good but the servers are hit or miss. I went here last night with my husband, 1 1/2 year old, our friend's and their 10 month old. First off we asked our waitress for 2 tickets and she said she… couldn't do that it she could run multiple cards. NEITHER OF OUR KIDS ORDERED FOOD. The waitress was not very tentative to us at all and when the bill came she had the nerve to charge the 20% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. We asked the other waitress about the splitting of tickets and she said that they can split tickets at a table. Our server seemed to avoid us after handing us the

Great place to eat and hangout. Izaak's is fine dinning with a casual feel. When you go don't worry about getting dressed up. There's a mix of people, fishermen who have been on the river all day. You will see couples on a date and friends who just want to eat, drink and hangout. You will see the chef/owner walking around talking with the customers. See a picture on the wall and think to yourself I would like to own that, just ask for the price sheet and you can purchase it. We always have a great time when we go.

I ate at Izaak's on Friday at 4 pm for the first time. I had been told by several Great Falls natives to give it a try. Boy, it did not disappoint. The food was nothing short of amazing (Melon and blackened chicken). I can't say enough about how good the flavors, textures and presentation were together. The service, by Lori the waitress, was perfect. I cannot wait to return!

The owner is the most unprofessional... don't try and complain about anything, he'll likely intentionally burn the raw food you sent back, or come out and tell you are crazy if something isn't right. To top it off, the food is off and on...sometimes good and the next is awful, over cooked or soggy. But it's always pricey. Been eating here for years...always hoping for the best. No more.

Strange way to run a business to have numerous empty tables but not seat anyone, the staff has a generally poor attitude and not good customer service skills. But the drinks are good as was the food. Loved the Brussels sprouts and calamari and poutine. The burger was fair but hubs loved the steak. So, three stars. For gods sake sit the people down and pour them a drink. Your food sales would surely go up!

A group of friends and I went there after a day on the river. They wouldn't sit us for 20 minutes because not all of our party was there yet... Nevermind they held a table for 8, we just couldn't sit there and have beverages and appetizers. When we finally got seated, we had to wait another 20 minutes to order food. When we got food: 4 Hamburgers were bloody, pasta plates had what appeared to be canned pasta sauce, the panini had the worst cuts of meats, and the brisket was all fat. At that point we had to ask for our appetizers. The drinks we ordered were tequilla based drinks but came

Excellent fresh food, friendly staff, off the beaten path location. This place is a gem. The Carolina pork platter was delicious and my husband's cowboy burger was fresh and tasty. It's the best food we've had since we moved to Montana 5 months ago! The only downside is that it's pricey, but lord if it isn't worth it. We will certainly be back for more :)

I travel a lot for business and found myself in Montana. We got a recommendation from one of the offices we worked at and made the lovely scenic drive to Craig. Great atmosphere at this restaurant and very friendly service. Also, the food was delicious and far above what I expected to find!
Great local beers, that I would recommend you try. Others have thought it was a bit pricey; however, living in a big city I found everything quite reasonable. My coworker and I got an appetizer, two entrees, 2 sizable side items, and a couple of craft beers a piece and it was under $50 a person. Highly recommend

The beef for the burgers was probably very high quality, but the patties had been pre-formed and frozen. As a result, the burger tasted old and stale. Definitely not worth the price and really kind of a crime to waste good Montana beef in such a manner. The chips/salsa/guacamole were good.
The biggest problem with this place is the owner/manager. There was a problem with our bill and he became angry and defensive when we brought it to his attention. Read the reviews on TripAdvisor--it is clear that we're not the only people who have been yelled at an insulted by this man.

This is some of the best food we've had in the Helena area, and certainly the best service. The smoked trout, pulled pork, brisket, and salad were all exceptional, and the calamari was perfect- fresh, tender, crispy and not oily. The menu, and the clientele, cover the full spectrum from ritzy to ultra- casual, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and supremely professional. Izaak's also makes a point of supporting and serving locally-produced foods, to excellent effect.
The drive is also spectacular, and well-worth it.
Well done, folks. We'll certainly be back.
