Services
Maple Tree Montessori Toddler Community is a "home away from home" for our youngest students, age 12 to 36 months. Our Montessori trained staff provide a nurturing, stimulating environment that engages each child with purposeful activities designed to encourage and support all areas of their unique development.
Our Montessori Primary is our "Children's House" or "Casa Dei Bambini, " beginning at 33 months and continuing through Kindergarten. We offer both morning and afternoon full 3 hour sessions; 8:30 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 3:30 are available. There is also a full day option for our primary students from 8:30 to 3:30.
Maple Tree Montessori Academy offers Brighton parents a choice of a fully Montessori Elementary Education. Maple Tree Montessori currently enrolls students through the 6th grade and we are the only Private School in Livingston County that offers an Elementary Program that is not parochial or religiously affiliated.
At Maple Tree Montessori, we strive to stimulate and inspire our students. As a part of our mission to develop the whole child, we provide many opportunities, both in and outside the classrooms to ignite curiosity, passion, and a desire to learn and grow beyond pure academics. We also have a variety of special events throughout the year that are enriching for all students, such as performances by the Ann Arbor Symphony Brass Quintet.

I started out homeschooling and quickly discovered as passionate as I was work my children, I lacked the discipline and consistency they needed on a daily basis that would set them up with a solid foundation for learning. After trying out several different school settings and finding it increasing the conflicts my kiddos had with each other, I… almost gave up on any external schooling system. Then I "accidentally" found Maple Tree (let's be honest, there are no accidents).
Now that I see all THREE of my kiddos ages 2 to 6 THRIVING here, I just can't say enough about them! I only wish I could

Our oldest son went to Maple Tree is it was by far the best parenting decision we made for him. The atmosphere is that of a big family. The teachers are incredible. My son thrived at Maple Tree; he was reading at 4, was beginning addition and had the foundation of practical life skills. We look forward to sending our youngest son next year!

My children have been attending Maple Tree Montessori Academy for 6 years. We love everything about the school. They provided an excellent, authentic Montessori education, with a family feel. The school provides a true sense of community. I have loved watching my children grow, learn and thrive though their time at Maple Tree.

We've had a child at Maple Tree for four years and counting. We are consistently impressed by the warm family atmosphere and the commitment to follow the child. These teachers know how to work with every kind of child, those with big personalities (which can be labeled as problems by less-experienced educators) and those who are shy or working through traumas. We love being a part of this school and would recommend to anyone looking for a solid, family-centered, committed Montessori atmosphere.

Maple Tree Montessori offers a wonderfully enriching, authentic Montessori education for your child. It's like an extension of home where your child is nurtured and guided through their educational experience while fostering great independence and the love of learning. Rather than wait to invest in just their college education, invest in the most important formative years! Go observe and you will see how wonderful Maple Tree is.

Maple Tree Montessori has been such a blessing to our family. We are lucky enough to be sending our 4th child to MTM! The curriculum and academic experience exceeded my expectations - but what has brought us back year after year, child after child, is the warm, nurturing atmosphere and the loving teachers and staff. The personal attention and genuine care and concern Sue Cherry and the MTM staff show each child is felt as you walk through the door. What a wonderful way for children to begin their school years!
