My name is Mikie Dawson and I graduated in 2007 from Washington State University. My husband and I own the Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic and we are looking for an exceptional new doctor to join our team. As a veterinarian, you will not have any trouble finding a job but I encourage you to find the RIGHT job.
Founded in 2016, Fear Free is an organization that provides education to veterinary professionals, the pet professional community, and pet owners on how to foster emotional wellbeing, enrichment, and the reduction of fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. The Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic has incorporated fear free tools for decades (prior to when the Fear Free organization was established).

Great care when you are able to get an appointment, but for the last year or so they have been scheduling out 4+ Months and aren’t even able to offer urgent appointments when needed. I think that they took on far too many patients for the staff they have. We have had to switch to another practice due to the inability to get an appointment.

My pup has been a long term patient of them. I had to move 150 miles from the practice. He is very ill and may pass. I reached out to them to find that they didn’t deem it necessary to talk to me after 10 years of them seeing him for annual visits. What is wrong with people???? I don’t recommend them!!

We use WVC for several of the shelter pets at Antietam Humane Society. Dr. Dawson, Patrick, the techs, receptionists, and other vets that have handled our pets have been so wonderful! They care just as much about the homeless shelter pets as they do about owned pets, which means the world to me and shelter staff, as we see our shelter animals as our own pets while in our care. We recommend WVC often and if I lived in the Waynesboro area, it is where I would bring my personal pets as well.

They wanted us wait until November for an appointment for our cat. It's July currently, that's just not acceptable for a cat that is sick and needs to see them. I do not want to always take my cat to the emergency vet when they get sick!
Edit to response: even if it wasn’t for an emergency I am not scheduling 6 months out for regular appointment either! You really think that’s reasonable for any of your Patients?

All of the doctors and staff are fantastic! We know our pet family are getting the best care. The doctors are very dedicated and thorough. We have been clients here for MANY years. They have seen our pets and us through some very difficult times even with the difficulties COVID is causing. Highly recommend them!

Dr Atkins is a rockstar vet!! She clearly cares a lot about her patients, even when they may not be happy about being there! Dr Atkins took her time to assess my 17 year old cat for minor allergy symptoms. She went above and beyond and found a heart murmur that no other vet had been able to discover. She was very thorough and holistic in her… practice. She patiently and kindly answered all my questions and ensured I understood everything with accuracy and abundant empathy. She also found a microchip in my cat that I had been unaware of for 12 years! I was able to register it today, thanks

Always professional and friendly staff , and reasonably priced. I have always been happy with my experience with them. Also when they do make suggestions for my pet they have never pressured me into any service or product that they may suggest for me. This is important because I have limited income love my cats and don't need to be made to feel guilty .

I love this vet. Staff is very friendly, prices aren't bad, and vet's seem very knowledgeable. I take my dog Larry here, and I had to take one of my hamsters too because she got sick. They handled her very well… and were able to get her diagnosed and sent her home with meds. She was back to her old self in a day! I've taken hamsters to different vet's before and I must say this is the first time I've found a vet that actually knew what they were doing with hamsters and could help them when they're sick. It feels great knowing there's a knowledgeable doctor so close to home for my three tiny

I highly recommend this Veterinary Office. The first few pics are of my almost 17 year old Italian Greyhound Maggie who they absolutely treated with dignity and respect in her final minutes. The other pics are of my 3 year old Rottweiler Magnum. They have an absolute blast with him. From the front desk to the technicians and the doctors, they are wonderful. You will not regret taking your fur babies here.
