National Defense Transportatio
Since World War II, the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) has served our country's national defense and homeland security as a trusted environment where government, military, and private sector professionals can solve pressing challenges in the fields of logistics, transportation, and passenger travel services.

Maintain that "trusted environment" by facilitating strong working relationships, education, and the exchange of ideas. Invest in programs and capabilities that provide value to our corporate and individual members, and help develop the next generation of professionals. Serve the broader national security interest through a new focus on all government stakeholders in logistics, transportation, and passenger travel.
Services
Since its founding, one of the missions of NDTA has been "to support, conduct and assist programs of transportation education, science, research, and development, among private, industrial, educational and governmental agencies." These programs required funding and, in 1961, the Association established the NDTA Foundation as a separate corporate entity to raise and provide the funds needed to accomplish this mission.
This year's theme is Rebound. Purpose: The annual GovTravels symposium brings together experts from across the U.S. government and commercial travel industry to examine a wide range of issues that impact the government's multi-billion dollar travel enterprise. Exchange ideas, educate and collaborate on travel issues impacting both industry and government.
NDTA is dedicated to serving national security through education and knowledge sharing in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, and passenger travel. Individual membership in NDTA provides opportunities to network with, serve, and educate the professional community. NDTA members comprise more than 5,500 active duty and retired military members, government civilians, private sector professionals, and students.
Corporate membership in NDTA provides unique networking, business and educational opportunities for your organization. Corporate membership provides your team the opportunity to take part in key discussions and share ideas with military, government and industry leadership. With Corporate membership your organization can be part of setting and influencing the transportation, travel and distribution agenda for today and the future.
NDTA includes six functional committees: Military Airlift Advisory, Military Sealift, Surface Transportation, Military Distribution, Passenger Travel Services, and a newly refocused Cybersecurity Best Practices. Committees are chaired by a senior industry leader, supported by a senior government liaison, and operate under their own charters.
