In addition to being licensed by the State of New York, I am also an InterNACHI Certified Professional Home Inspector. My experience comes from years of being in the home business in one form or another - Either inspecting them or working on them.
My hands-on experience has been some of the most valuable experience - both in life and as a home inspector. When I walk into a home, I know the issues that a house of that type, style, or area - because I have likely worked on that type of home before. When I find issues (issues that other home inspectors may miss) I fully understand them - because I have likely fixed that type of issue before myself.

As an InterNACHI Certified Professional Home Inspector, I am held to a higher standard. Being licensed in NYS is a requirement - but only the basic. Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that is very common here in NY and comes from decomposing uranium. Radon has existed in our homes for as long as the earth has been around - but our homes are different than they used to be. Our homes are tighter and more energy efficient than they have ever been before.
