Deck railing posts should be securely attached using through bolts and Hold Down anchors. Someone leaning against this railing could find themselves on the ground when these nails cannot support their weight. We use them everyday to come and go from our homes, But if not properly built, they could fail and leave us injured.

I'm planning to buy a house near Hawley, Pa. Ron said he would be there at 10:00AM. He was. Within a day, I received the written inspector's report. 92 pages. It was completely thorough, covering items that I never considered. But he also alerted me to a possible major defect in the house's septic system. Something didn't look right to him and he noted that it should be further inspected by a specialist. That one item will save me the expense of thousands of dollars because it's the seller's responsibility or I'll look for another home.

I chose Ron for my home inspection because I liked the fact that the man I spoke with on the phone was the also the person that would be doing the inspection. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Ron is exceptional. He's very professional and knowledgeable, but also very personable and friendly. Ron, the owner and home inspector from Aspis was responsive, helpful and professional from our first interaction on. He was very thorough, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were fully informed, and that we would be moving our family into a safe home. We attended the inspection and he answered many questions for us and even provided us with a service that will help us track all of our maintenance, appliances and even has contacts for contractors. Aspis Home Inspections was truly remarkable. Ron arrived early, completed a thorough inspection from top to bottom and made sure to be the last one to leave to lock up. He took the time to explain his findings and what to expect in the report. He also took the time time to answer all of our questions as they developed during the inspection. So happy I hired Ron of Aspis Home Inspections to perform my home inspection this morning. Ron was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained himself thoroughly to me, someone who doesn’t know a whole heck of a lot about homes, and answered all my questions as they came up.
