Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. One of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21. Orthodontic treatment can restore good function, and teeth that work better often look better, too. A healthy, beautiful smile can improve self-esteem, no matter what age.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that all children be evaluated by an orthodontist by age seven. Although full treatment is unusual at this age, some interceptive treatment may be indicated. Typically, your child's dentist or pediatrician will make a referral if he/she has concerns about jaw relationship or tooth position.
Two-phase orthodontic treatment is a very specialized process that encompasses tooth straightening and physical, facial changes. The major advantage of a two-phase treatment is to maximize the opportunity to accomplish the ideal healthy, functional, aesthetic result that will remain stable throughout your life.
The cost of treatment depends of the severity of the patient's problems and the estimated treatment time. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before committing to treatment at Parrott Orthodontics. We have payment options to suit most budgets and accept most insurance plans. We will file, or will assist you in filing, the necessary paperwork for your insurance provider.
