The mission of The Rehab Center is to utilize the resources of our interdisciplinary team to assist individuals with disabling conditions to achieve optimal physical, cognitive, and emotional function. The core of The Rehab Center is the Interdisciplinary Pain Program for patients with chronic pain or other conditions that impair function. Our highly structured, interdisciplinary 20-day curriculum combines the resources of physical therapy, medical management, psychology, nursing, vocational and nutrition education to assist individuals toward the restoration of function and a better quality of life.
Dr. T. Kern Carlton III, a physiatrist, is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Pain Medicine and Independent Medical Examinations. As medical director of The Rehab Center since 1993, he provides comprehensive medical evaluations and medical management of patients with work-related injuries.
There can be many challenges, both physical and psychological, in returning to a fully functional life after an injury. Often, patients develop problems with depression, anxiety, and inappropriate use of medications that complicate efforts at resuming work and normal activities. For patients with concussions or traumatic brain injuries, cognitive and emotional changes can prove frustrating and debilitating.

I wish they had a different physical therapy team. The psychologists were ok.

Praying that after full treatment I have a different review to give. My father has suffered from a serious concussion and suffers deceased memory and cognitive impairment yet I’m
Not allowed to go into the appointment to insure he is properly advocated for. I’m sadden and disappointed that the value of questioning those closes to someone with a head injury is not being considered when they are assessing their patients. Definitely concerning and doesn’t give a sense of trust in the staff and doctors. I will reply back after we finish in hopes to give a better report.
