The story of Xigera Safari Lodge is one of renewal. Of rebirth and family legacy, and of the pioneering spirit that drives us to seek out Africa's wild spaces. The same spirit that inspired this remarkable reimagining, perhaps a complete reinvention, of an Okavango Delta safari. This is Xigera (pronounced 'kee-jera'), named for the Pied Kingfisher that makes its home amid the watery channels of Botswana's Moremi Game Reserve.
Every aspect is handcrafted to beguile our guests' senses and stir their souls - from the evocative interiors to one-of-a-kind encounters. But Xigera is equally a line in the sand. A raising of the bar. A bold statement in the realm of luxury safaris, and an Okavango Delta safari experience like no other.

I've been taking my daughter and mother to tea at different places in south Florida for many years now. This was our first time at the Chesterfield. High tea is offered in the Leopard Lounge. The food was very good and fresh and more than we could eat. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition of another gluten free guest whose flight was cancelled and was therefore staying an extra day. I really appreciate the gluten free options.

Horrible smell (had to leave the windows open the whole stay). I tried using the AC but it stank too. Clean the filters! No ventilation in the bathroom, very easy to burn yourself with the hot water, the floor would be drenched in water while taking a shower because the shower was poorly designed, the bathroom floor was cracked and stained. We were told we had a mini fridge in the room, that was a lie. I called to ask for my room to be serviced before I returned to my room. I gave hours notice, surprise the room was not serviced when I returned. Good luck falling asleep before midnight, the Leopard

I did not stay. We were in the area and stopped to see the location for a possible future stay. I had (luckily) booked the Colony Hotel instead. Upon entering the lobby area we were notified that masks are required for all guests, regardless of vaccination status. This was not mentioned on the website when I was researching a 3 night stay in Palm Beach. The Colony is fabulous! Food, service, location-just excellent. And they don’t force you to wear a mask.

Ended up hoping over from the west coast for a night in Palm Beach, and tried the Chesterfield... while I was anticipating a boutique hotel, it was underwhelming. There is an old-British feel and service to the hotel, but the service almost makes it feel more stiff lip than what the product delivers. The rooms, while updated, are on the smaller side (ok, older built hotel...) but were quite worn down (fraying carpet, mismatched tiles in the bathroom, sloppy paint jobs, disconnecting wainscoting). The attention to detail wasn't there.
The pool area is quite small, with not many loungers

We have had the pleasure of staying at The Chesterfield Hotel several times over the years and we always had a great and memorable experience! Last week we celebrated our 30th anniversary and once again The Chesterfield did not disappoint! The staff and service is great beyond measure and deserves a lot of praise! Upon arrival at check in Jackson at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating and also informed us that we were being upgraded to a suite, compliments of the hotel. It was so unexpected and we were delighted especially when we got upstairs and saw the room. We were treated as

It was a beautiful hotel, but I didn't like it. There was nothing going on, no people around and everyone, though nice, acted a little weird. I got very creeped out there by myself and left early. It didn't make sense why there was no activity in the middle of summer. Especially when the hotel was listed as sold out. At 11:30 at night I went downstairs and there was nobody in the lobby, not even at the desk and no people in the hallways or coming in and out. I didn't see another person anywhere for more than 45 minutes. Too creepy for me.

This was a horrible experience the room was so small and the front desk and staff needs a course on customer service. We spent 550.00 for one night and stayed 15 minutes and didn't even check out because the front desk was so rude we didn't want to speak with them again. I would never recommend this hotel to any one. The bar kept our credit card and we called it in stolen to American Express. Please don't stay on this property!!!!

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. From
The nicely decorated cozy rooms, to the friendly staff to the lovely Leopard lounge. John the manager was extremely accommodating, and Heather the bartender in the lounge made the yummiest expression martinis. If you're lucky, you might even run into Rod Stewart sipping on a drink in the Leopard lounge.. I will definitely be back!

Stayed in a queen room- which might suit a 15 year old girl quite nicely with the cute over the bed decoration, but the bed size felt like a full size xl and the room was ridiculously small for 2 people. A room at a Best Western would beat this posh " boutique" place hands down. I appreciate the location, but would it hurt to put a 2nd chair in a bedroom? No seating area, desk , chair, anything that is considered " normal" in an average hotel. The service- outside pool area has food service- but that is lacking. The pool area also lacks luster and decor. A waitress begrudgingly told me she'd bring

Old and probably haunted. Didn't feel welcomed when I arrived. Rude management. The valet and maids were very nice and hopefully are being treated respectfully (probably not, if management could be so rude and cold to "guests" imagine how they are to "the help"). Food was insanely bland and overpriced. The pool gives the hotel 1 star. Go elsewhere! Save your money. I couldn't wait to get back home after this "vacation".

This may sound crazy, but I truly believe this place is haunted. It's been around for almost 100 years and they apparently haven't changed the decor since it opened. I was in the area for SunFest so I got a discount and only paid about $250 for the room, but it really was worth no more than $50. I cannot believe this hotel gets away with charging $600 a night usually!! Absolutely insane!!
When I walked in the tiny little room I immediately got this bad feeling, like a fight-or-flight response almost. It gave me chills. I fell asleep quickly but the next morning my fiancé asked me if

Very disappointing experience! The Chesterfield in conjunction with the Downton Abbey exhibit offered Tea and Tickets for $83.00 per person. I thought it would be a lovely experience for my daughter and I. From the first phone call I should have known it would not go well. After four attempts at making the reservation and purchasing the tickets we arrived at our scheduled time the following day. It states clearly the tickets are non-refundable. We were surprised when we had to wait more than 45 minutes to be seated and even longer before we were served. The offering was delicious even though my

This review is for the afternoon tea. This is not your typical British afternoon tea (having lived in London for a year and had afternoon tea several times in UK, Singapore, Atlanta, and Houston), this is really just tea with American desserts, finger sandwiches, and scones. The scones came out last for us and there wasn't any clotted cream. I think it was whipped butter. Overall, a cute place but this is a far cry from afternoon tea at the Ritz or Claridges. The library where afternoon tea is hosted is a cute and cozy room. Some of the puff desserts did not taste good at all. I personally

I went on a Saturday afternoon for the Victorian Era afternoon tea. They have two actresses play the part of Victorian Era women and they do a 30 minute skit before you dine on the delicious treats. You need at least 15 guests and must prepay ahead of time. About $45/person.
It included a candle to take home, boas to wear at the tea, tea, AWESOME sandwiches (salmon, tuna, egg salad, cucumber, tomato/cheese), brownies, fruit tart, carrot cake cupcake, cream puff, AWESOME scone and freshly made clotted cream. All baked goods were made on premise.
