The Coffee Trike is a completely self-contained and mobile, fine coffee tricycle. Rolling around since winter of 2012, the trike offers a full espresso bar, cold brewed coffee, and hot chocolate. Originally built in Holland, this custom-outfitted WorkCycles trike is both a work of art and a piece of industrial utility.
The Coffee Trike is proud to offer coffee that is responsibly sourced and roasted locally in Worcester, MA and milk from the cows of Mapleline Farm in Hadley, MA. In 2013, The Coffee Trike was listed as one of Business Insider's 50 Coolest Small Businesses in America. See our New Locations! We're also at the SoWa Open Market on Saturdays and Sundays between 10am-4pm.

I had the pleasure of meeting baristas Martin and Natalie at their new stand in the Broad Institute. Their coffee is delicious --both the "regular" (expresso, cortado, latte, cappuccino) and the "specials" (for example, the tasty taza mocha) options-- and they are super friendly and welcoming. All thumbs up!

First the basics - a delicious latte, probably the best since Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in La Jolla (which is more of a place for fancy latte variations anyway), whereas this is a no-frills, trike-based mini coffee setup. Excellent location, next to many office buildings downtown. Thanks, Coffee Trike (and barista)!
I'll definitely drop by again, since I work in the area.

We're new to Boston, but so far, The Coffee Trike is the best coffee that I've encountered. My drink of choice - cortado - is phenomenal from this tiny pop-up café. Great milk texturing, cutting delicious espresso. Perfection for me. With such friendly baristas, relatively-fast service (for a small operation in a crowded area), and top-notch drinks, I'll happily continue to make the trike my go-to spot for my caffeine fix.

I was running late for work because of the red line having delays. I got off at south station and was miffed that i couldn't make my usual DD run before catching my bus to Newton.
Whilst walking to the bus stop, I saw this business. Then I saw that they had almond milk. This gal was sold. I asked San if they were cash only as I only had plastic. San said, "no, we take cards and Australian currency if you have it!" That gave me a laugh. I'm not supposed to have coffee everyday but I can't help it. Especially if it's this good.
I love that this coffee shop is run

I'm far from a coffee expert. I used to go to Starbucks regularly and happily. I just didn't know coffee could taste this good until I sampled a mocha from The Coffee Trike. That was a few years ago. San has totally spoiled Starbucks for me and its syrupy mochas are only a last resort now. My eyes are open and now I see.
I've since been to many of the quality coffee places around the Boston area, and The Coffee Trike is by far my favorite. San's customer service skills are superb. He always greets you with a smile and engages you in friendly conversation. And the coffee really

San is a fantastic barista. He runs an incredible business with excellent customer service. To those who have never been- San is a barista that has a mobile coffee trike. He can serve any espresso drink. He'll teach you all about the beans, the espresso process. Before coming here, I knew very little about coffee. Now I have my own espresso machine and love making it every morning. My appreciation for espresso is through the roof. In addition to being a great barista, San is incredibly friendly. He'll remember your name and become friends with you. This makes the whole experience unique

The Trike's business is composed of two parts (and weighted as such):
- 10%: The best espresso pulled in Boston.
- 90%: San, a true entrepreneur, and genuinely good person who treats his customers better than most businesses ever would.
I'm excited for San to open his new shop, and hope the Coffee Trike will make some rare appearances over time.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The best coffee I have had in Boston (and I've had a LOT of coffee). For those who love SF's Philz coffee and Blue Bottle I've found this to be Boston's absolute closest / best coffee. I've had the latte and my friend had the cortado- both delicious, and such great flavor and quality. In addition, the owner not only is genuinely happy to make conversation, but he actually remembers you!

Sometimes you want to go to the coffee trike that knows your name.
There's one equation for whether or not I'll be getting coffee from San at The Coffee Trike first thing in the morning. It's a combination of 1) Is he there, 2) How late am I running for work, and 3) How long is the line. That's it. If the formula aligns, this is how my morning begins. Excellent coffee. Great conversation. I'm not one for making easy conversation with strangers, but I once felt some alpaca yarn another customer was knitting with while standing in line here. It's exactly that kind

Absolutely outstanding coffee made on a trike! The trike itself is incredible when you consider everything going on within it. The fact that a person can make coffee all day without electricity is impressive, but to see San do it so easily, with such a cheery demeanor is incredible. And the product is world class! There is no better place in town to get a cup of coffee! Try it, you'll like it!

Worthy of five stars
(this marks the first time I've given 5 stars)

If you want coffee made correctly from a passionate/knowledgable/personable barista/business owner, find the coffee trike.
San offers drinks and bagged beans (whole/ground).
If you leave Boston without getting coffee from here, or live in Boston and don't get your coffee here you are making a mistake.
Check his website for locations/times.
