Totally recommend! Oscar Bravo track record is impressive- world champion, black belt multiple times over, top boxer, hall of famer, etc. etc. And most importantly, as trainer- very understanding, friendly, at the same time exigent, requiring all his trainees to really perform, learning the true, corect techniques.
And as a last remark, BMA- academy/gym/dojo, Is equipped with all needed to help you, either with personal development or competitively.
He'll make you a Pro if you stick for enough time!

Oscar is one of a kind. I have trained martial arts in Sweden, London, Belgium, Thailand and Dubai and I can say that Oscar is on a different level. I have tremendous respect for him as a human being as well as a martial artist. He helped me get to the Final in the North American Muay Thai Championships wih only 6 weeks preparation and he moved me from being a good martial artist to becoming a great one during he year I lived in Chicago. I truly miss this gym and can’t wait to train with him again.

After searching for some spots around Bridgeport that wasn't closed or retired, I happened upon this gem of a place run by Oscar Bravo. I only needed a couple of weeks of gym time since I was only in town for that amount, and Oscar was generous and understanding enough to accommodate my needs!
The gym has plenty of equipment for various martial arts: plenty of matted flooring, two boxing rings, five-ish kickboxing heavybags and two boxing heavybags (if my memory serves), a double-end bag, and another one I don't know the name of, some cardio hardware (e.g. treadmill), etc. They provide pads for

Excellent technical knowledge for any skill level. Great attention to detail and gives practical advice and adjustments based on the individual, not trying to fit a student into a certain mold.
Oscar is a true martial artist who truly cares about his craft and it shows in his dedication as well as having students that have followed him for decades and drive in from all over the city and the suburbs.
I recommend him to anyone interested in exercise, self-defense, combat sports, or just a great time.

Oscar is the best instructor I've ever had the privilege of being taught by. For me being someone with minimal martial arts knowledge, his attention to detail for each student (no matter experience level) was very appreciated and honestly way more than you can ask for at his price. Oscar remembers everyone's name, and somehow managed to be kind while pushing us all to improve. I found myself improving quickly and wanting to go back again and again to attend the higher level classes. Not only do you get a great workout, you learn valuable techniques and skills even for practical self defense.

I have trained with Oscar for years and can say with certitude that he is hands down the best martial artist, instructor and person that I know. He has made me a better boxer, kickboxer and person. I would recommend BMA to anyone looking to be great at their craft or just trying to be fit. Would give more stars if possible. Recommended to all.

Oscar is an amazing Boxing and Muay Thai boxing coach.
I have dabbled in martial arts since I was a child and trained at several boxing, MMA, BJJ, and Thai Boxing gyms all over the city. Chicago is definitely blessed with excellent martial arts and combat sports instruction, and Oscar Bravo definitely belongs in that category.
His current location is convenient off the CTA Red Line, buses, Loop, I-94, and Lake Shore Dr. His gym is upstairs from Phenomenal Fitness, which we get access to if its not too busy as a perk. Oscar's gym has the amenities that other gyms might lack, but not in an

I mentioned to someone today that I'm training with Oscar Bravo at Bravo Martial Arts and their immediate response was, "Best trainer on the planet!"
I've been training in the martial arts for over 40 years and have earned blackbelts in two different systems and have won 9 amateur heavyweight kickboxing titles. I've never worked a trainer this advanced before, someone who is not only a world-champion fighter, but has developed his own system from the various martial arts he's mastered.
On both a technical and physical level, Oscar pinpoints your weaknesses and develops specific drills for you

I don't usually write reviews but I really think this gym deserves one. I just moved to Chicago and I have been training muay thai/thai boxing for a while (having had several different coaches) so I was looking to continue developing myself and looked at several different Gyms in the downtown area, but all of them were either really commercial or way too expensive. By accident I found out about this gym and it was the absolute best choice. Oscar is very experienced as a coach (not one of those young fitness dudes at the gyms who tries to teach you about boxing, without having any experience

Oscar is simply the best! Despite the differing skill levels of students in the boxing level 1 class, Oscar does a fantastic job of adapting quickly so that each student is able to maximize their workout. Everyone is given more than enough personal attention and coaching. If you are looking to become a skilled martial artist or boxer, wanting a challenging workout, or desiring to learn to defend yourself, Bravo Martial Arts is where you need to go. The facilities are also excellent. Bathrooms are spotless and you have access to multiple showers and lockers.

After hearing about Bravo Martial Arts from my boyfriend, I went to my first class with Oscar and was surprised at how intense of a workout I got! Considering that I am pretty active and workout 4-5 days/week, my muscles were actually sore in places I never knew possible! I've taken boxing classes in the past (LA Boxing) which were great for cardio but because of the larger sized class, it was difficult for the instructor to individually work with the student on proper technique and form. What I enjoyed most about his class was the personal attention he gave to every student whether you were

I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I've been doing this for a little over 10 years. I've always wanted to partake in Boxing as my second form of martial arts, so my brother-in-law gave me some sessions as a gift to try boxing at Bravo Martial Arts. Meeting with Oscar, he too was in Tae Kwon Do and we clicked right away! His knowledge in Boxing is superb, and his experience in the art is beyond what I had imagined. The class sizes are a little bit smaller which helped engage Oscar with student-to-student, and I really liked that (seeing as how I'm a beginner in boxing
