We visited my brother this week the day after Christmas. I must say my brother was doing well. They were engrossed in a game when we arrived. The staff was very pleasant. This facility was clean. There was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. I took my brother cookies and fudge that I made. We visited with him for about an hour.
BTW, you can't get anyone to answer the phone. I was on hold for at least 5 mins listening to the same thing over and over. I got tired of holding to ask a question, so, I hung up. I am giving this facility 1star for not answering the phone.

The staff was very kind to my father during his last few months there. The facility was under construction while he was there and the changes looked promising. The activities department did their very best to get my father engaged. The cook was very helpful with any request made. The nurses were kind and friendly. The financial office was understanding and knowledgeable. Each department took the time and care to support us overall. Although it was a very trying time I felt comfortable that our needs were met.

Not enough staff for 20 people or more. Attitudes all over the place some of the nurses are very good but some aren't some . People dying in there for lack of staff and when you say something to somebody they act like they have anattitude. If you don't want to be a caregiver or taking care of people which is part of the job , shouldn't be there.

Depending on when you visit. Front desk personnel is pleasant. Patient area smells awful. Staff is lazy. Blames each other when questioned about why patients aren't being cared for. They ignore the call bells for hours. Not knowledgeable to operating equipment. No one owns responsibility for anything. So frustrating to have to try to talk to them.

My Mother was a patient there for approximately 16 days. She was resistant at first, but the staff was great on getting her familiar with everyday activities and therapy. Everyone was helpful and catered to my Mothers needs without any problems. I truly appreciate the staff here, from the front desk to the administrators.

Horrible! The negligence of the staff at Renaissance Rehabilitation and Nursing landed my mother in the ICU at HUP, and it almost cost me my mother's life. My mother had to be rushed to the hospital because she was unresponsive. When she arrived at the ER I found out that she had been force fed (which is a choking hazard) and her mouth was literally packed with food. Her blood sodium levels were through the roof, her kidney function had started to fail, and she also had candida. All of this due to DEHYDRATION! For the record while my mother was there I visited with her on a regular basis. However

My mother in-law was a resident there for physical therapy. She resided there for several months, her experience was a rollercoaster ride yes some of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Others are there stealing their paychecks, they speak to the clients as well as the clients family/visitors in an indignant manner I witnessed a social worker get into a physical confrontation with a visitor. The patients are fighting to get healthy and they and their families have to literally fight for respect. BUY A MOUTHPIECE

I have been referring patients to Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the past 8 years for both skilled stays and long term placement. Many of the patients seen by our practice have had short term stays at Renaissance after hospitalizations. During this time, I have had only positive interactions with all staff from admissions through discharge. I have witnessed staff going above and beyond at all times to give quality care, empathy, compassion and to provide continuity of care to all patients. Patients and families have given positive feedback about their interactions and stays
