Stayed 2 nights in this charming hotel! Comfortable and clean room. The staff are some of the nicest we’ve experienced in a hotel. Don’t miss the Great Hall on floor 2! There is a bar, which has a small food menu too, and lovely patio. Hotel is located close to numerous beautiful hikes.

To start off they give cornbread (which is amazing) but only gave us two pieces for three people, I don't know if they can't count or if they are just cheap but that was a bad start. Second they only had six entrees on the menu and were missing two of them. If I had to sum it up I'd have to say that it is overpriced mediocre food that used to be great and uses COVID as an excuse for everything.

I usually think twice about dining in a hotel's restaurant. Most of the time, they have lackluster food, not much ambiance and inflated prices. Overall, Campfire appears to be an exception (although the prices do reflect the fact that it caters to visitors).

Truth be told, we chose to go for several reasons: the reviews were pretty good, it was raining the day we arrived, and we had food credit at the hotel. That said, I'd still recommend a visit to Campfire.

We sat at the bar, so the bartender (relatively new on the job) was also our server. We were pretty surprised when we looked

My girlfriends and I wanted somewhere a little more upscale to eat and hang out at when we were at a cabin this April. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt safe dining indoors here. We got the Crispy Brie from the "Just Grazing" section and it wasn't much to split, but was a good taste for the 3 of us. I ordered the day's special of duck confit, my friend got the fried chicken and biscuit, and another friend got the Campfire burger. There was not one bad thing we could say about our meal. We ordered ice cream at the end and that was amazing as well. I highly suggest the

We stayed in the suites and I was blown away with the room. It was so spacious and completely spotless. Absolutely beautiful. Dinner was great at campfire grill and bar in the hotel and then going upstairs to the bar lounge was a great way to end the night. Will definitely be back.

Excellent rooms and service! The atmosphere is classy as well. Heads up, this hotel is definitely haunted though. My husband and I stayed three nights. Two of those nights, the light switch in the bathroom… would click on after being turned off, several times, and it was always at night. Another strange thing that happened is my husband keys disappeared after he had placed them on the nightstand, and we finally found them at the bottom of his suitcase under clothes.

This past weekend was our second stay at the Hotel Saranac and it exceeded our expectations once again. My husband and I first visited in October 2020 and we were so pleased we decided to come back again for… another weekend getaway. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the area including activities and restaurants. While all of the staff we encountered were great, I have to specifically acknowledge Sadie, our server at the Campfire Grill, and Brooks, our bartender at the Great Hall bar. Sadie was attentive, knew the menu well and went the extra mile to make sure

My Family stayed here for 3 nights right after Christmas and had an awesome time. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that you're happy. It's an older hotel, but remodeled. Elegant without being snobby.… We are Hilton Gold members and have stayed at quite a few Hilton properties and this is actually one of the most enjoyable Hilton stays that we've had. Hotel Saranac is a hidden jewel of the Adirondacks.

After a long day, my friends and I decided that we wanted to eat near Saranac Lake. We came upon Campfire on our search.

When we arrived to the set location, we were a bit confused, but eventually found our way inside the doors of a hotel and into the restaurant.

Ambience: 4.5/5
The ambience is great. In general, the restaurant is dimly lit, but with the candle in the middle of the table, it definitely resembled the feel of a outdoor campfire. It was nice to have a fairly wide open area with tables spaced out. You can see the chefs making the food. The bathrooms were conveniently located across

After hiking for 10 hours, I was DELIGHTED that Campfire could squeeze us in on a Saturday night. The menu, yet small, offers something for everyone. I started with the butternut squash soup. Rich and creamy, they top it with crumbly blue cheese, and toasted pumpkin seeds. If they offered a vat of it, aside from a bowl, I would have said yes.

Next on the gorge fest was their fried chicken and biscuit with sage gravy. Served open faced. Although it's an undertaking - it was breaded and fried perfectly and balanced with the gravy and a side of green beans. I'd come back anytime I&apos

Who knew a HOTEL restaurant would have some of the best food in the entire Lake Placid area?? Seriously it was so delicious that we ate there for dinner two nights in a row. Cornbread at the tables is homemade and delicious. Everything else was good too. The atmosphere was charming (although the open kitchen can make the dining area a little smoky), and service was good. They took my soy allergy seriously both nights and the chef let me know if there was anything they wouldn't feel comfortable with me ordering. Overall a great experience. If we're back in the area, you bet we're

We shared a wonderful dinner at the Campfire Grill. The drink selection was great as was the small, yet completely fulfilling, dinner menu. We had the grilled chicken and bistro steak; both were delicious. Our server was friendly and doing a great job balancing a lot of different things. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Beautiful all glass store front exposes a welcoming decor from the outside. We were charmed so we stopped in for dinner despite the sparse crowd on a Thursday night. Staff was very friendly and we sat alone the windows in the cool ( and comfortable) chairs at our table. The place was somewhere between dimly lit and bright. It was actually just right for the space.
We started with the bread and fondue. Omg! It was delicious. Also they give you homemade corn bread to start w maple butter. My partner devoured it.
I got the Cobb salad that had trout on it. It was a bit tangy and quite unique

This is such a nice restaurant with a very cozy vibe. I've been here a few times for work meetings and I've always had a nice experience. The campfire burger and hand cut fries ARE SO GOOD. I was not planning on eating everything but I couldn't stop because it was so delicious. The burger had yummy flavors from the bacon, roasted onion and bbq sauce. The fries were perfectly crispy and salty. It's a burger I'll be thinking about often until I come back. The service was wonderful too from the moment we walked in.

Great food .But the service is hit or miss. They have a captive customer base of hotel guests so they must not care . We have been here several times and walk out wondering why we return . Huge turn over of staff . Please train your servers on basics like bringing water to the table and asking if we would like another drink . oh and waiting for our check just to pay you is annoying . McDonalds does a better job with customer service .

We stayed at the Hotel Saranac and decided to have a breakfast in beautiful restaurant Campfire Adirondack Grill.
All Breakfast was good but I must mention French Toast is out of this world. As a family we all agreed it was one of the best French Toast.
So if you are ever here, do give it a try .

The quality of the food here at Campfire was amazing. The service was very attentive and our waitress had some great suggestions. While the menu is limited, what is on the menu can meet anyone's needs. They also have a kids meal which is oh so helpful when you are traveling with kids. One. Half of the restaurant is more line a restaurant and the other a bar. The upstairs small plates bar is so quaint and the terrace has a great ambiance as well. Really, they have just about anything your looking for in an atmosphere. A full bar to boot!

Campfire is in the recently renovated Hotel Saranac. It has that stylish and upscale woodsy aesthetic straight out of Portlandia, or, well, some of my friend's and my apartments. So I was fully prepared to hate it, but they won me over.

The service is charming and not precious, which also helps. The space has nice decorative elements but it's still understated, and the open kitchen is a dream workspace.

The food is exceptional. They start you out with a warm cornbread and maple butter on an iron skillet. A tad sweet to my taste, but moist and delicious.

I had the winter vegetable
