Dr. Maria Antoinette Barden is a graduate of Hampton University in Hampton and Rutgers Dental School (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey). She has been in practice for over 30 years. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Barden served the Newark community as a science teacher in the Newark Public School System and was the Director of the High School Urban Engineering Program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

My husband had a tooth that needed to be pulled. While he was in Jamaica I paid several times for x-rays and to have it pulled. Went to Dr. Barden one time and she took care of my husband tooth with no problems. I had some work done and am comfortable enough with her to go back. Would give zero stars if I could. Dr. Barden was my dentist when I was younger, and she would recommend root canals on teeth when fillings would've sufficed. She'd usually take about 5 visits to complete one root canal and never put crowns on any of them. Because of her I've had to have many teeth pulled and replaced with implants. Stay FAR away.
