Phillip Iverson grew up on his family's mixed crop farm east of Woodburn. Growing up in Oregon and working on the family's farm afforded Mr. Iverson a unique perspective among his peers in the legal community by gaining firsthand knowledge from within the industry, of the wide range of legal challenges that many farmers and people from small communities face.
Mr. Iverson earned his law degree with honors from Gonzaga University School of Law where he worked two semesters in a low-income taxpayer clinic helping elderly individuals with complex tax situations. Mr. Iverson also participated for two years in "Street Law." A program that teaches high school students about the law, constitution, and their rights.
