The story of the Upstairs Salon began in 1987 at 4972 Warner Ave. in Huntington Beach by Ursula Heidenwag Stylist/Owner. There we were getting established and had a flourishing business for 18 years.

As you must have heard, I (like most everyone else) have lots of problems, but when I go to the salon - I have my hair done, my hands and toes taken care of and I really relax.And for a while, I forget everything else. I do have one special beautician that I've known for years, but if she is not available for whatever reason, one of the other beauticians volunteers to take care of me, and they are all great.

Helga did a perfect color correction. I had previously used henna, then had my hair bleached to try to take it out. I was letting my fried hair grow out when I needed to make a business trip. I made my first visit to Upstairs Salon. Helga cut out most of the frizz, giving me the cutest style, and I walked out a lovely blonde. Thank you, Helga!!
