At Hotel Cape Charles, we are guided by the relaxed pace of life on Virginia's Eastern Shore and the small-town warmth of Cape Charles. Our recent guests have called the Hotel environment "welcoming and comfortable" and "serene and uncluttered." As befitting a boutique hotel, our room-types are varied and unique.
Our Hotel Cafe and Wine Bar offers a light breakfast, featuring organic, homemade granola and complimentary locally roasted coffee. Additionally, local baked goods, seasonal items and drinks are also available for purchase. We are particularly proud of our carefully curated wine list, which we offer by the glass or bottle to enjoy throughout the Hotel and grounds.
Cape Charles has become a hub for tourism on Virginia's Eastern Shore. This small sliver of coastal Virginia contains a unique combination of refined amenities in close proximity to some of North America's most beautiful natural habitats. The Town of Cape Charles, small town America itself, boasts a public beach perfect for families, an ice cream store on its main street, and a hardware store from a bygone era.
We selected this hotel based upon previous reviews and were not disappointed. The staff was wonderful and the accommodations lovely. Very modern design. Very comfortable. They recommended Aqua for dinner (great) and the coffee shop two doors down for breakfast (also great). Definitely the place to stay in or around Cape Charles.

The hotel was nice enough, but no mention was made of the bicycles that are supposed to be available. Hotel staff seemed to be somewhat disinterested. Parking could definitely be an issue during prime season. The complimentary breakfast was definitely not up to the rest of the ambiance of the hotel, instant Quaker oatmeal and Chobani yogurt were the only choices offered, no mention of any homemade granola, the coffee and tea were served in paper cups and no offer of refills. Very disappointing.

This is our third year in a row staying at the Hotel Cape Charles. Mostly we like its central location, within walking distance of nearly everywhere we like to go. The hotel is top-notch and so is the staff. Jawn, in particular, was exceptionally welcoming. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony this year, and the complimentary beach chairs were a nice bonus. We're already looking forward to returning next year and beyond.

We didn't stay at the Hotel, but came to the Cafe for brunch on our way out of town. Wow. The limited menu was chock full of deliciousness. Our breakfast sandwiches with Pimento and Bacon were sooo good, as were the overnight oats! And the Fresh Squeezed OJ has ruined my 7 year old who said "It's like I'm drinking right out of the orange!" Great ambience, friendly staff, delicious food, and I haven't even mentioned the baristas slinging java like pros! Best caffeine in town! We'll be back!!!

We had a great stay at Hotel Cape Charles. Nicholas was especially helpful at check in, provided good recommendations and directions for all of our questions. The room is clean and inviting. The water pressure in the shower is so strong it feels like you're getting a massage 🙂 highly recommend staying here when visiting this area.
