The clinic is not just about affordable acupuncture, there is an important social justice element involved in the mission and vision of City Garden Community Acupuncture. All people, regardless of who they are, what they do, or how many resources they have, are deserving of access to holistic and safe healing practices.

Our modern healthcare structure often excludes those most in need of access to care and often provides band - aid solutions at an unbelievably high physical and financial cost. By breaking down the barriers to safe and effective sources of care, City Garden is improving the overall health and prosperity of the community.
Services
When you first arrive, you will fill out paperwork describing what health concerns you would like to address. You then have a brief consultation with the acupuncturist. After your consultation, your acupuncturist will take you into the treatment room where you get comfortable in a reclining chair or on a massage table.
I got my first acupuncture treatment for a stomach illness while I was studying yoga in India. It was very informal - a friend of mine gave me a treatment while I rested on her floor, but the impression was so great and the needles so effective that I decided to become an acupuncturist. While attending school a fellow student introduced me to Working Class Acupuncture, the first community acupuncture clinic in Portland, Oregon.
You won't be able to read during treatment because you'll probably have needles in your arms or hands. Listening to headphones is just fine, as long as it is quiet and doesn't disturb anyone around you. One should not move after the acupuncture needles are inserted. A small shift, or slowly scratching your nose is alright, but any bigger movement could be painful or could cause the needles to fall out.

This place is an oasis in the middle of the busy University District. Susie is a genius with healing hands who knows exactly where to place the needles and how to make her clients comfortable. The music and atmosphere is so soothing you never want to leave. Thank you Susie!

City Garden Community Acupuncture is an absolute jewel in the city of Seattle. Susie's kind, thoughtful, intuitive expertise is undeniable I always feel like I'm being welcomed warmly by a good friend. I always feel at ease when stepping into the studio. It's clean, well fashioned, relaxing and safe. My life is so much better when I take care of my body and mind with this Community Acupuncture Studio. I don't know where I would be without Susie's attention to detail and excellent Acupuncture work. The difference between attending the studio and not has a life altering affect on me and the world

I just had another great treatment from Susie, despite the fact that we are in the throes of this virus. Her place was sanitary, spacious, and really made a difference in my condition. I was trying to reschedule as soon as possible Susie. Be in touch. We could set up something privately…

Susie is incredible! I found City Garden Community Acupuncture right as I started grad school 3 years ago and have been returning regularly ever since. I attribute Susie’s skill to my strong immune health and lower levels of anxiety. It is a highlight of my week to receive treatment from her- I always feel significantly better after a visit to City Garden. Her clinic is very calm and peaceful and Susie herself is always so kind and cheerful. If you are looking for great and affordable acupuncture treatments, visit Susie!

Been going since mid-2017. Whenever I have out of town guests I like to bring them over for a relax visit. My pregnant wife attended and I have sent a few pregnant and non-pregnant women their for specific discomforts. I have convinced a few first-timers to try acupuncture because of this place. Love the feel. Please support your wonderful, affordable, and accessible community acupuncturist.

I had the privilege of getting treatments from Susie in Seattle while on a work trip. Her community acupuncture clinic is very comfortable, warm, and relaxing. Susie is an all around great healer and I would definitely go see her again for future treatments if in the area. She is attentive, professional, and has great energy.
If you have never tried acupuncture and are in the U-District, go see her, you won't regret it!

Been to several acupuncturists in Seattle and I always get the best results working with Susie. She knows how to heal and her needle work is fantastic.
Amazingly, for being one of the best acupuncturists in the area, her services are amazingly affordable. This is "community" acupuncture so you are in a room with others, but the chairs and tables are comfortable, as well as the room itself. Lockers are provided to put your things. Appointments are available online but you can often walk in also. Highly recommended.
