Dr. Gillespie-Johnson began her career in dentistry in 2009. After earning her undergraduate degree in Biology from Voorhees College, she made her way to the Midwest to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Extreme Excellence was evident upon my first step into Southern Pear Denistry’s dental clinic! First, COVID protocol adherence was spot on. Second, staff member (Justin- Restorative Coordinator) (NO Saints fan) assessment skills were superb! Third, Mike (Dental Hygienist) was a gracious dental educator who used models to help solidify my understanding of dental health. Fourth, Dr. Gillespie-Johnson’s bedside manner accompanied with her professionalism and expertise placed me at ease. My experience with Southern Pearl Dentistry was nothing short of AMAZING! From the ease of setting up the appointment. The professionalism of the entire staff, the warmth and friendly atmosphere that everyone gave, the timing, the pricing, everything was wonderful! My 1st visit here and I was VERY pleased with the hospitality of the staff and cleanliness of the office. Will definitely be sending my husband here as well! They were very detailed in my dental plan options and disclosure the best dental plan option for me considering I’m 8 months pregnant. I definitely recommend Pearl Dentistry as your new dentist!

I found this location through a google search and was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Gillespie and her staff are exceptional. The office is nice and clean and bright. The services and interactions with all staff were very professional and not rushed. I was seen at my appropriate appointment time and did not have to wait. Dr. Gillespie took the time to make sure I thoroughly understood my treatment plan and also listened very intently when I communicated about the areas I wanted to improve upon. Today was my first visit to this office. I was beyond impressed with the staff and Dr. Gillespie. The office was clean, up to date, and inviting. They are very professional and you can tell they treat each other as family. They make sure you are comfortable and are aware of everything going on with the service they are rendering for you. Mr. Mike the hygienist that worked on me did a great job cleaning my teeth. Daphne the nurse/hygienist assistant was friendly, funny, and very helpful. Dr. Gillespie is my new dentist and I will not trust anyone else with my mouth!!!

Dr. Gillespie is WONDERFUL! She truly cares about her patients! My comfort and satisfaction is very important to her. Justin is AMAZING too! He’s professional, attentive, and friendly. When my temporary crown came off Dr. G and Justin were able to see me the next day. Southern Pearl Dentistry cares about it’s patients! It’s wonderful not having anxiety about visiting the dentist.
