Preventative care is the best way to maintain a healthy, full smile. Cleanings and exams can easily be done in our office at your own convenience. Cleanings are performed by a licensed and registered dental hygienist who clears away heavy buildup from the teeth and checks the health of your gums. Exams allow us to see if you're experiencing any dental problems before the issue is able to get worse.
A dental filling is a restoration that is used to fill in an area of decay once it's been removed. Tooth decay, or cavities as they're more commonly called, can affect both children as well as adults. Cavities often develop due to plaque acids essentially infiltrating a tooth. If the decay is not removed in a timely manner, not only will it begin to affect surrounding teeth, but it may cause the need for a complete root canal.
A dental x-ray is a radiographic image that enables us to see below the surface of your gums and teeth. Many dental and intraoral conditions cannot be seen with a typical exam. For this reason, we may recommend x-rays during the course of your treatment so that we can provide you with the best care possible.

I cannot stress enough how super, incredibly patient and kind these folks were to me. i'd never been to a dentist and had a tooth that was leaving me with excruciating pain for a couple days, to a point i got in yelp and started calling offices. they were able to see me the same day i called, and were even able to extract it for me. they walked me through every single step, from the moment i walked in to fill out paperwork, what my costs were with my insurance, to what to expect while they did the exam, and what to expect for the procedure (prep, during and after). and while i was so overwhelmed

Everyone here is so kind and knowledgeable. my teeth were all kinds of messed up and i needed surgery to fix them. Dr Jonas, Leah, Katie, the whole staff explained everything every step of the way, they answered all my questions, and checked up on me before, during, and after my procedure. they are the best team within 50 miles and have the best price on top of that. i found my dentist for life, actually looking forward to checkups.

I recently had a second appointment at Blue Sky Dental Group for an exam on a problem tooth I previously saw them for. Prior to this visit, I had recently seen a dentist/specialist due to urgent pain on the same tooth as I could not get it the same day or sooner with BlueSky dental.
Today at this appt, I asked to speak with the manager for clarification on the need for the exam and x-rays to see if it was necessary as I recently had x-rays for the same tooth completed by another office and the specialist and I wanted to see if it was possible for my recent x-rays to be reviewed and recommendation

I wish I had switched to Blue Sky Dental Group sooner. Great personalized attention and service. The office has modern equipment and such a pleasant feel. Destini, Katerina, and Dr. Stevens were beyond kind, had great personalities, and knowledgeable about dentistry. It is especially clear Dr. Stevens really loves what she does. Dr.Ashbaugh and Dr. Stevens are amazing!! The entire staff is great! Friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and comforting! This is the best dental office in Jacksonville !Working as a dental assistant has caused me to be more picky than the average person when it comes to finding a GREAT dentist with staff just as amazing . (S/o to Leah for getting my appointment scheduled) From the time I walked in Caitlin greeted me with a smile and everyone was so nice ! My… hygienist Katarina was very gentle and efficient .
