As a pediatric dental practice in Jacksonville, Florida, our staff are specially trained to work with parents and their kids-from infancy through their teens. Did you know that all children should begin seeing a pediatric dentist by one year of age and flossing by age two? Daily cleaning of teeth should begin as soon as the first baby tooth erupts.
At our office we focus on prevention and education as well as providing quality dental care when needed. Our goal is to provide parents with the information they need to create a lifetime of healthy smiles for their children! Call today to learn more about our services, ask questions, and schedule a visit.

Services
At Kids First Dentistry, we provide dental services ranging from comprehensive preventive care to full restorative procedures in a way that is specialized for kids from infancy through their teens. Our certified pediatric specialist has two years of pediatric training and additional training in IV sedation.
The name of our practice clearly reflects our philosophy: We truly strive to put your children and their needs first! At Kids First Dentistry we recognize that children are individuals with unique needs and temperaments. We have the experience and compassion to give each child a positive dental experience as well as quality care.
You can prepare your child for the dental visit by practicing some of what your child will experience in the dental office. A Visit to the Dentist (Dora the Explorer), by Christine Ricci, illustrated by Robert Roper. A Visit to the Dentist (Spongebob Squarepants), by Sarah Willson, illustrated by Harry Moore.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and The American Academy of Pediatrics recommend establishing a dental home for your child by age one. We want to be your partner in taking care of your baby's smile and we would love to see your baby when those first teeth show up. We recommend scheduling a first visit at age 1 or when your baby has eight baby teeth.
Payment is due at the time of treatment. We will make every effort to provide a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget. We also offer a special discount to our patients who pay in full with cash. In addition to many insurance options, we accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Took my two year old to her first appointment this morning. Katherine and the rest of team were great making sure she felt comfortable, understood what was going to happen, and were comforting when she was a bit scared. In and out fast and it all felt very clean and COVID safe. Will definitely keep our business here.

My second time visiting. MY FIRST visit was amazing! I could honestly say my son was comfortable and excited to return for his second cleaning. The doctor and assistant worked very well with my son. The second visit was not so friendly. My son will not stop reminding me of his experience with the dental assistant. She was not kid friendly at all. I was not impressed. I don't recall her even speaking to us when we were called to the back. Im not sure if she was having a bad day or just in a rush to get off work. We did have a late visit. I still expected to receive great service As I previously

Just had our second appointment here! Really love the office, it's bright and cheery. Everyone is so nice, from the moment you walk in till you leave.
Amber was our hygienist today and she was fantastic. She was kind, patient, and put my toddler at ease with her cheerful attitude.
Appointments are generally quick with little waiting, but still thorough. Definitely choose this office for your littles. You won't regret it.

I like Kids First Dentistry. When we moved to Jacksonville in 2015, it was hard for me to find a good paediatric dental office for my son with his dental plan, so I took my son to a couple of dental offices which were terrible. Then I found Kids First Dentistry, their office is 40 minutes away from my home but it’s worth it because their office is clean, nice and convenient for kids. Doctor and the workers are nice. I would recommend this dentist to everyone I know.

I’m so happy I came across Kids First Dentistry. Like literally, I was sitting in Publix parking and I happened to glanced at the building. I called them and made an appointment for my daughter. I paid cash for her service. Very affordable dental care for children! Her first time at Kids First Dentistry and we both loved it! They were very professional, very courteous, very clean and like I said before very affordable! Can’t wait for her second visit!

Had a scheduled appointment for my child today so I was heading to her school to pull her out. While in office, I received a phone call and was busy to answer. Within minutes, I got on my phone to realize they left me a message stating they they had to cancel the appointment and rescheduled her. LAST MINUTE!! I called back right after listening to that message and they sure didn't pick up. Left a message and they never called me back. I called them back to cancel all appointments for both kids. On their end, no "oh I'm sorry" or anything to explain the reason they cancelled

They treat my daughter great and I really appreciate their efforts with going above and beyond with covid prevention as well. Waiting outside until called in, temp checks, list of questions and in and out. Really eased my anxiety about bringing my child somewhere indoors. My family and I love this place!

Good luck getting someone to answer the phone--I always get told to leave a message. When I did leave a message, they never called me back.
I've been trying for 3 weeks now. The one time they answered, they asked for insurance information I didn't have (which I could have brought to the appointment). I got it, and called back, only to get the recording to leave a message.
ETA: I finally got someone, who took my insurance info, and then called back to tell us they didn't take it--which is odd, since the first thing I did was to make sure they were listed as providers. I upped

Great staff, fantastic dentist to take your kids to! First off the place is super cute, Nice and clean. The staff is well trained. They are Able to talk to your child. Explain to them what's going on. Along with keeping them feeling safe not scared. Parents can stand near the entire time to observe what is going on. I recommend!
