I am a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and have been helping seniors age in place in their homes for over 24 years. I have worked with Home Care Assistance since 2018. It is my job to insure that our care partners are providing the best possible care to our clients. We know that Home is the best place for our clients to live, where we provide one on one care (as opposed to living in a facility where care is much less personal).
Home Care Assistance caregivers are the core of the home care experience. They are carefully selected to deliver the highest quality of care and must demonstrate compassion, professionalism and dedication to elderly seniors. However, unless caregivers are highly trained and educated, compassion and commitment alone are not enough to deliver exceptional care.
Watch the CNN video below to learn more about the centenarians in Okinawa who inspired this movement. There is no single explanation for how and why some people live so many healthier and more active years than others. But there is a place where more people live longer and healthier than any other place on earth: Okinawa, Japan.
As mom or dad ages, it's natural to become concerned about their safety at home. Are they eating the proper number of meals each day? Is bathing and dressing still a safe activity for them to perform alone? Are the right medications being taken at the right time?

In my opinion save your time and look elsewhere for the care you or your loved ones may need. They are unreliable. At the initial meeting on Friday Ms Williams committed to do a meet and greet to introduce the aide on Sunday and start providing service. Upon returning to her office Ms. Williams left a voicemail stating that I cannot expect to have the initial meeting on a Friday and start service on a Monday.

I should have talked to more people before we tried them. They have a great initial impression but in a short time we found out they are terrible with communication, the caregivers did not seem qualified, were actually insulting to our parents and then the agency filed a complaint with our parent's senior community without speaking to our parents or us first. Then they still sent someone after we asked them to stop! And of course that was not pleasant. Our parents need help, and didn't need to go through this.
