Services
One of my favorite activities as a home builder and designer is walking through a nearly-finished house and showing my customer how the various design features and systems have come together. I have the same sense of purpose and pride as a home inspector. I truly enjoy teaching my customers the ins and outs of their homes, how to maintain the house, and what kinds of issues to watch out for.
An Appalachian home inspection covers nearly every element in and around a home and other structures on the property. My inspections follow the North Carolina Home Inspector Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors' (InterNACHI) Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Outstanding service. I was able to get my home inspection as well as specialty inspections outside a normal home inspection with one call. Rob set everything up so I didn’t have to.
I am also out of state pending closing so was unable to be present for the inspection. I received a full detailed report electronically and Rob took the time to go over each area by phone so I fully understood what he saw.

His inspection saved us from purchasing a home that had defects that were invisible to my eyes. His inspection was so complete....he looked at EVERYTHING....took him most of the day to do inspection on 1200 ft home. He even knew if screws were missing in rafters of porch. Once a builder of homes makes him all the more knowledgeable of what to look for durning an inspection. I most highly recommend Rob Chambliss and Appalachian Inspection Services.
