Called them for the first time today because a co-worker of mine recommended them to me from the New York Presbyterian hospital. I was a little hesitant at first because i usually i would order a uber but I'm done with Uber. They're so over rated. Anywho the driver (419 i didn't get his name) that picked me up was very respectful and i enjoyed the peaceful ride to my destination today. Thank you guys so much! P.s. the dispatcher i spoke to today was also courteous . Just saying.

I wish I could use NEGATIVE star ratings on this. Don't ever use this service!!! They will not show up! I booked a ride, they called the morning of to confirm and they STILL didn't show up. When I called to ask where the driver was I was told they don't really service my area (Hell's Kitchen/Midtown West) and they wouldn't be sending a car. I hope they go out of business. How dare they treat customers in such a dismissive manner.

Im literally in shock. Ive been a very loyal customer and my family as well for years. But lately the drivers are not professional. They are always attempting to romance the female customers. First it was my sister, then my wife. I used this car service because of their past reputation. But it has now been tarnish. I want my family to feel safe and assured that they will have a comfortable ride.

Literally got yelled at by the taxi driver at for fault in the app. I’ve driven with them several times and I’ve never had an incident like this till last month. When I started sharing my story several others mentioned a similar incident or worse. I only want them to train their drivers to show respect to the customers as incident could have gone COMPLETELY different.

I'm writing this after reading the negative reviews about Riverside. Recently I've had several terrible experiences from another company, HOMETOWN based on Long Island. I never used non-medical transportation in my life until I really needed it to get to/from LI to a New York City hospital. I noticed Riverside taxi and medical transportation is advertising on my local Pennysaver's cover. I read the reviews and it looks like it's another company taking advantage of Medicaid. I have 2 credit cards on file with the in order to automatically charge my ride. For whatever reason they did not process the charge and the driver called me at my destination, NYU ORTHOPEDIC HOSPITAL while I was visiting my husband. He was a very nice man and I explained that I, 1-had no cash on me & 2-I was with the doctors & 3- there are 2 cards on file. I told the driver I would call Riverside when I returned home later that day. I did and was told the manager was not there, to call back Monday morning or leave a message. I did call in Monday morning and was told he would not be

Since I can't reply directly to the owner's reply below, let me correct him here instead: I actually DID say in the reservation ( the one you chose to ignore) that this was a pickup for an elderly lady and to please be patient and to call me when the driver got there. The operator read that note back to me on the phone, so don't tell me he wasn't aware. That aside, I have full appreciation for glitches in systems, but if this was indeed one then why wouldn't your operator just say so? If you want to keep running your business with blatantly incompetent employee, suit yourself

Terrible. My family and I use Riverside Car & Limo several times a month, but no longer will. I will be taking my business where I am spoken to with respect. The evening dispatcher (Frank) is rude and unprofessional. He does not know how to speak to customers, and cancels cars if you disagree with his outrageous prices and if you inform him of his attitude. Two weeks ago my sister, called Riverside Car & Limo - Frank answered the phone, and he was very rude. I have no idea how good their service is because it's impossible to make a reservation using their website. No matter which credit card I use or how many times I entire my card information, I get the same error message that the cvcc or expiration date is inaccurate (apparently they can't even tell you which one it is). Better call Lyft.

Let me start off by saying we are approaching the year 2018, every cab driver should accept debit card and we should not have to pay a debit card fee! On top of that when you do ask for a car that accepts debit card and they send you one... upon arriving to your location, come find out they took the job without having a debit card machine, you shouldn't have go to an atm or even a bank to take out cash! Can't tell you how many times this has happened. the only reason I'm not giving them 1 star is cause I have been given exceptional service by a select few drivers and for that I am

Be VERY careful when using their app! They will charge your card but when the cab arrives, they claim they weren't paid! It happened to my daughter on 6/6/17. I don't know what scam they got going on, but they're trying to get paid twice! She will be contacting the bank and report it as a fraudulent charge.

Horrible. I use Riverside at least three times a week, and I usually request a cab through their app. So, the other day, I needed a cab and went on the Riverside app. I received a text stating that a KISS white Camry (cab) was going to arrive in four minutes.
My first thought was, "Why am I getting a car from KISS when I'm using the Riverside app?" Okay, so the driver picks me up, and since I ALWAYS take cabs, I know how much I pay... This driver was trying to charge me extra money. When I told him what I always paid, he locked the door and said I was wrong.

I will never use this car service again! Made a reservation, received a confirmation, then minutes before the scheduled pick-up time, received a cancellation. When I called I was rudely told that because I did not pick up the driver's phone call, he cancelled. I never heard the phone, nor did he leave a message. Too many other choices out there.

I've been using Riverside Car & Limousine Service for more than 20 years. Everyday I take a taxi to work. Today I encountered a rude driver that told me that I'm a problem because he didn't want to go to my work location! Can you imagine? I'm paying and he doesn't want to drive to the location?
I will never again use this service and I will discourage all of my friends and family from using it.

I use to take this service alot. A couple of years ago it was great.
But whenever I had a lady friend take a ride the cab driver would try to pick her up, on many different occasions.
Most recently My girlfriend would get picked up and the guy would imply I was cheating on her. He told her picked up many girls from me. He continued to to press her on this. It was disgusting customer service.
I wont be using this ever again.

Note to phone agents: If you hate people so much you might want to find a job where your primary function is not talking to customers. Stick to Uber or Lyft.
Edit: gave them a second chance after they were kind enough to reach out. Things are much improved. I am now a fan. Always nice to see a local business doing the right thing. Unlike the national, internet based companies Riverside actually has humans you can talk to if need be. They also have a functional app if you don't want to talk to anyone.

I used Riverside Car & Limo service this past weekend and my driver Benjamin went out of his way to make sure I made it to my dinner reservation on Valentines, I was already late as it is. It seemed he knew all the best routes to make it to Downtown Manahattan from Washington Heights, he even beat the GPS by using some of his own tricks. And best part is he even let me listen to my own music. Real good guy & great driver. Thanks Benjamin, you saved the day! :)

I want to love my local car service, but my experiences with Riverside have been mostly negative. First, they don't often accept credit cards. That's trouble on an airport run when you don't have $60 in cash. Second, they blast radio communications in the car--feels like you're in an air traffic control tower with constant cross-squawk. That's stressful and seems unnecessary. Finally, most of the drivers I've had speak zero English. While I'm ashamed that my Spanish is not functional, I do expect my driver to know the difference between Terminal A and Terminal
