Cooking oat groats from Maine Grains is a a fairly simple process resulting in a versatile grain that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as a locally sourced and potentially healthier rice replacement. It works with almost any spice combination and is gluten free. We are excited to let you know that a Friday night Farmers' Market here at Rolling Fatties will be happening this summer!

Kingfield, Maine is a beautiful town on the Carrabassett River in the High Peaks region of Maine.
It's a small sweet place with it's own newspaper, grocery store, a hardware store and lumber company, convenience stores, a few restaurants, a couple great B and Bs, an inn, a hotel, a cute, little and well-stocked library, a Montessori school, an elementary school, a bike park, a town park, hiking, biking, snowmobile and ATV trails, a pharmacy, a health center, an alternative health center, lush fields, tall mountains, a fancy ski resort right up the road, and some local characters.

Unreal hidden gem in Maine. Just so happened to look up burritos in my area on the way home from Sugarloaf mountain and they were only a mile away from where I happened to be and I am so happy I stopped. They were super friendly and made an UNREAL burrito. Delicious ingredients and a perfect level of spice. If I could give more than 5 stars then I would. They also have a pooch that guards the bathroom and it’s adorable. Picture is of a cool little barn that is in the parking lot!

We ordered from the vehicle and took a scenic drive to view the many Victorian era homes in Kingfield during our waiting period. When we received our text our order was completed. Our order was well sealed and waiting for us at the place for pick-up. Picnic tables and libations were offered in an open air area situated in the rear of building. Conscientious efforts to maintain safe distancing.
The food was well prepared with all fresh ingredients and tasted great.

Rolling Fatties lives true to its name with an "eat it twice" sized burrito delivered for a very attractive base rate of $6.50 for their classic build. Dressing it up with a selection of add ons will raise the rate but the locally sourced meats and cheeses are the definition of Quality You Can Taste. I added local shaved steak and Cabot Monterey Jack to the classic burrito thinking I needed those add ons to make it worth while but the surprising highlight of the dish was the Rolling Fatties "oat groats" and the overall composition and spicing that comes with their signature dish. We were headed

What a nice place! We were greeted immediately, and warmly. The service was quick and our order correct. Loads of options on the menu for converting your bowl or burrito to the meal you can enjoy. We love the atmosphere, and the great music. The prices were fair for the locally sourced foods. We will be back!

This tiny burrito shop is amazing. The food was so good my wife was eating my burrito after already eating lunch (she doesn't eat burritos). I ordered the Freedom Fatty, which is chefs choice. It ended up being rice, beans, cheese, a fries egg, some sort of pork and a sweet sauce that was what my wife kept coming back for. The staff was super friendly and really wanted to know we enjoyed the food. They had 4 great microbrews on tap as well. On Friday they had a band outside, we missed that. They have some picnic tables as well. If you're in this tiny town you have to stop here.
