Dr. Maria Montessori develops the "Mathematical" or "Scientific" mind by using concrete objects from the real world. The design of the materials encourage repetition which enhances learning. The children are introduced to the concept of numbers and the decimal system. Care of the Environment, Care of the Self, and Grace and Courtesy are emphasized in this area.
Children take part in everyday activities such as food preparation, sweeping and mopping, tying shoes, and setting a table. They develop concentration, coordination, and a sense of order. All learning takes place through the senses. Maria Montessori emphasized the use of many senses in each exercise.

Dr. Maria Montessori, observing that young children are naturally curious and eager to learn, concluded that the ideal school does not force them but cultivates this natural desire to allow them to reach their full potential in life. Because eighty percent of a child's mental development takes place before age eight, the choice of a learning environment for those earliest years is very important.

I love Arbor View Montessori and so does my daughter. The staff here is excellent. I really appreciate how much time they spend interacting with her, make making crafts, reading, singing and encouraging cooperative play with the other kids. My daughter started at Arbor View Montessori when she was 11 months old. Michelle, teacher for infants, was there day by day giving her love and care. Today my daughter is 2, she is in todler group, but we still want to give big hug to Michelle before we go home. My another baby is 3 months old and I already setted up strating day for him. I totally trust Michelle
