Irish Moving & Storage was founded in 2012. Bob Stevenson, owner and president with over 25 years in the moving business has worked in and overseen every position in the moving industry, from dolly pusher to general manager of the 2nd largest moving company in NYC.
After years of seeing customers losing faith in the industry due to 'Probable Cost' estimates and so called 'Binding Estimates', Bob felt the only option he had was to create his own company modeled by his own integrity.Thus the "Guaranteed Price Pledge" was born, which for Interstate moves also includes Guaranteed Interstate delivery dates, a typical example being: NYC to Fort Lauderdale FL in 4 days or NYC to Los Angeles in 7 to 8 days.

Certificates of Insurance (COI) are certificates that are issued by the movers insurance company. They are required by most buildings in the New York / Tri-State area as evidence of the insurance coverage held by the moving company. The first thing you need to ask yourself is: Am I covered through my own Home Owners/Home Renters Insurance?
Bob's crew did a very good job of a complicated move (combining two households into one). The move was done for the price specified, on the dates specified, in a clean and professional manner. I hope never to have to move again but if I do Irish Moving are my guys. I moved from a house I raised my children in( in other words 25 years of accumulated junk) to a fresh clean start.
Local moving (within the NY, NJ, CT area's) is our specialty. As a New York City moving company we are well versed in the requirements of Insurance companies, Building Management, the NY Department of Transport and of course, our clients. Like most New Yorkers we have moved often over the years and always heard horror stories from our friends about their moving companies and experiences. Thanks to Bob, we have never had to deal with those issues. Pricing is always accurate, crew is always on time and the move is always smooth.

I called Irish moving on a Wednesday evening at almost 6 o'clock, and Bob was still there manning the phone. I needed a company to move mom's belongings from suburban New York to Maryland the following Monday morning. Not only was this an interstate move, it was not a lot of time to organize everything. Bob was fantastic on the phone, asking all of the pertinent questions that he needed answers to. I had to be out of town myself from Friday through Sunday, so I had little to no time to pack things. I even called Bob Thursday to ask if the movers could make a second stop to drop a few

Bob - I truly appreciate both the professionalism with which you approached my job, as well as the great job that you and your team did. As you know, it gave me enough confidence so that, when it appeared that my entire rental building would convert condos and nearly the entire occupancy would need to vacate, I without hesitation suggested that you should move everyone I could connect you with. You are the consummate professional, and very importantly, you are true to your word when it comes to pricing - in an industry where that is sadly often not the case.
