What is Veterinary Acupuncture? Acupuncture has been used in veterinary practice in China for thousands of years to treat ailments and as preventive medicine. It involves placing special acupuncture needles into specific points on the body to produce a healing response. We use acupuncture alone or with traditional western medicine to treat many conditions in every species of animal.
Veterinary Chiropractic care is a manual therapy used for many health and performance problems. It focuses on the biomechanical dysfunction of the spine and its effect on the entire nervous system. Veterinary Chiropractic treatment does not replace traditional veterinary medicine; however, it can provide additional means of diagnosis and treatment options for spinal problems as well as biomechanical related musculoskeletal disorders.
While relatively new in the United States, herbal and Chinese veterinary medicine has been used to successfully treat animals in China for at least 5,000 years. The theory behind traditional Chinese veterinary medicine is based upon the flow of energy within the animal. Illness results when this flow stagnates, is disrupted, or ceases to be in balance.

Yesterday I received these beautiful wind chimes in memory of my dog Sissy whom I just recently lost.. I can NOT say enough about Union Lake Veterinary Hospital ❤️ Union Lake has the most amazing Drs and staff.… They have treated each one of my dogs as if they were their own. They are kind, loving, and exceptional people ❤️ Thank you so much to Dr Liba, Dr Marti, and the amazing staff who took wonderful care of Sissy when she needed it the most.. Because of you guys I got to have her a lot longer than we thought and for that I will be forever grateful ❤

I was really apprehensive about taking my 2 cats to a new vet, they have been going to one location their whole lives, however; I'm so happy I decided to take them to Union Lake. Everyone was so polite and understanding and really respectful to both my cats and me. It was a really enjoyable experience and they did everything to make my cats feel as comfortable as possible offering them treats and plenty of hiding spots including some towels which they both felt safe with. I've included a few pictures of the cool little beds they have on the wall for the cats, and of course my 2 cats hiding under

Love our new vet! My family recently moved to the area and had to find a new vet closer to home. Upon our first visit, I was greeted very kindly at the door! Immediately felt welcomed! The staff is great! Very attentive and gentle with our puppy! They offer so many different services from boarding to training to health and rehab! I’m so happy I picked them! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet!!

When my dog’s vet couldn’t get us in for over a month, union lake got us seen within a week. Dr Morgan and the staff was great with my fur baby. I also cannot say enough good things about their rehab center. Stephanie is incredible! Great place.

I am a first time pet/dog owner of a awesome Golden Doodle named Milo. When I reached out to Union Lake Veterinary Hospital, they treated us like family and did everything they could to support the issues and concerns with Milo’s health. ULVH was able to take an X-rays and determined Milo was diagnosed with Megasophagus. Dr. Morgan made some immediate recommendations to help provide a happy and healthy life for our new pup. The front office staff was exceptional to work with. Charlotte was so helpful providing all the medical records for Milo and went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations

I can’t say enough kind things about this place. My dog broke her nail severely, and her entire quick was exposed. My normal vet turned us away multiple times, even when her paw started to swell, so we called union lake vet hospital desperate to get our girl in. They took us in the same day. We will now be bringing both of our dogs here going forward.

The picture, I added here, is our 13 year old dog and his cat/brother. Union Lake Veterinary Hospital came highly recommended to us by our daughter, who worked in the Veterinary field for years and we cannot thank her, Dr. Hawker, Yvette (who took my initial call) or the rest of the staff who helped us, enough. Our previous vet used a tourniquet to muzzle our senior dog, which is unacceptable for any animal, to do an x-ray on his heart and lungs and caused him to collapse from stress. I read the negative reviews on here just now, when I came in to leave this review. I cannot believe people are

Love the all in one facility; vet, daycare, boarding, grooming, surgery, and recovery.
Dislike spending so much for pet's health. But they are comparable prices to other vets.
They take great care and answer every question. They show respect and concern for both owner and pets alike.
Con: they only have emergency care for dogs and cats.

I had my pup checked 3 weeks ago, I went for a second opinion as she was chewing her fur, I was suggested to do some test to check on her levels and determine if her diet was right. I called twice for the results, and have not heard from the doctor that saw her and was going to send the diet yet... I expected more from them, very poor support. I will stay with her primary vet anyways.

I brought in our new puppy today for his initial exam and vaccines and preventative care. We saw doctor Plein and he was wonderful he really made me feel at ease and was very kind and you can tell how much he… cares for animals and their families. I look forward to schedule our next visit with him also. and the rest of the staff was all smiles also friendly Carl is the one who took care of our new fur babies nails and vaccine and he was so sweet with him. The only thing I would change is how loud the phone volume is at the front desk the woman who was kindly trying to take our payment it

I have 3 dogs and have been a customer for 6+ years. It’s been an absolute pleasure taking my pets to Dr. Herdon. She is thorough and takes time to explain things and provide guidance. I never felt rushed with her. She genuinely cares about me and my animals and that means everything to me. I’ve recently moved out of state and sadly , have to find another veterinarian. They have Some big shoes to fill for sure. The entire practice was great. Everyone is nice and attentive. I love that it’s really a one stop shop. I have my dogs medical needs met along with grooming and boarding and even training

My dog, Bailey, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer just before her 14th birthday. She would do a little bark at me from a room away and refuse to get up and come see me. This was super unlike her so I mentioned this at my appointment. The vet kind of just brushed it off so I just assumed Bailey was just acting senile. I was ignorant to… the fact that this change in behavior was likely her telling me she was in pain. I didn't know that pain and cancer went hand in hand... we were offered ZERO pain management. I feel a veterinarian should have known my dog was in extreme pain

We have boarded here several times and my experience with the front desk staff in the boarding area today (8:30 am on 8/17/21) was so disgraceful. The lady was out right so rude to me and made me so upset. I told her I had two young kids in the car and they made me come in with my three dogs. I have always before done curbside pickup. She really could care less about me as a customer. We will think twice about EVER coming here again. If they are this rude to their customers it makes you wonder how they are with you animals in boarding.

I recently took in my very nervous and anxious lab to see Dr. Hawker for the first time. After his previous traumatizing experiences at his old vet, I knew I needed to take him somewhere that was willing to be accommodating for the extra anxious dogs. The first ten minutes my dog was still very uptight shaking and anxious anticipating his past experiences. I really appreciated the fact that I could actually go in with him this time since he does SO much better when I am with him.
Dr. Hawker and staff were very professional and I could tell they were trained in Fear Free. The quiet environment

This was my first visit at Union Lake Vet Hospital and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic and staff! The clinic is clean and modern, the staff is personable, caring and extremely… knowledgeable. Dr. Reynolds was easily one of the best vets I have ever seen. I am extremely particular about who I trust my animals with and I am over the moon with the quality of care with Union Lake.
