Ron and Chris Converse first opened the doors of Converse Carpet in 1984 in Central Point, Oregon. Chris ran the sales end of the business while Ron handled the inventory and installations. Converse originally offered a variety of carpet and vinyl flooring options out of a tiny building on East Pine Street but has since moved to the current location on Front Street.
Over the years the business has grown and has provided flooring and services to many individuals and local organizations here in Southern Oregon. In 2019 Ron and Chris passed the torch on down to their son, Ryan Converse. Converse Flooring & Design provides services in interior remodel design and sales.

Services
Converse Flooring & Design has been proudly offering flooring materials and installation services to the local community for over three decades. Those years of service have resulted in a staff of knowledgeable sales associates and highly skilled in-house installers. We encourage folks to pick our brains and ask the questions necessary to educate themselves on the product that best fits their needs and falls within their budget.
Are you hoping to inexpensively capture the look and feel of natural surfaces with your new flooring? Vinyl Sheet has, by far, the most options available as far as look, color, pattern, and texture. You can find prints such as traditional hardwood, exotic wood species, distressed or weathered wood, limestone, sandstone, tile, slate, geometric patterns, and much more.
Are you looking to add that extra level of comfort and homey appeal to a room in your house? Then carpet is the clear choice for you. Imagine waking up in the morning, sitting up in bed, swinging your legs off to the side and planting your feet onto a thick, warm, fuzzy carpet flooring rather than cold, hard tile or any other variety of flooring.
Hardwood is the pinnacle of durable, long-lasting, and aesthetically pleasing flooring options. Unlike imitation wood, such as vinyl or laminate, every single board is unique; you won't see any repeat in pattern. While hardwood has a higher initial cost over vinyl or laminate, in the long term it is the more economical option.
If you are searching to get the best bang for your buck in terms of durability and hardwood look then laminate is definitely the choice for your home or business. With an incredibly resilient top wear layer, Laminate flooring can hold up to high traffic, scratches, and dents. As for the look; it is available in a wide variety of convincing hardwood prints in multiple colors that will add that level of class and comfort to any room.

Converse flooring and design did an AMAZING job making our home look beautiful! They got the job done weeks sooner than the competition would have and for a much, much better price than the big retailers in our area, with much better quality materials.
I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future for our rental properties!
