TerraMai began, like many start-ups, with faith in a crazy idea. In 2002, TerraMai co-founder Ken Westrick was on sabbatical from the frenetic world of Silicon Valley. As often happens when we let down our guard and free our mind, a great idea formulates. While road tripping through Montana, Ken kept noticing rundown old barns and fences.
It wasn't the dilapidated structures that caught his eye, as much as the wood those structures were built from. The weathered patina of the wood was beautiful, varied and seasoned from decades of sun, wind, rain, and snow. Ken began to wonder if there was a way to salvage the wood from these old barns and repurpose it as siding and interior paneling, all the while maintaining its beautiful weather-worn patina.

A truly forward thinking company that’s on the forefront of the green movement. Stunning reclaimed wood products are skillfully milled into sustainable artwork; that doubles as flooring, paneling and pretty much anything that can be imagined. This organization is run by a group of people that have an expert understanding of the products they produce; coupled with a deep love for our fragile planet. TerraMai is the place to go if you’re on the hunt for some legit, light-hearted professionals!

So much for trying to use reclaimed wood because it's the right thing to do. I contacted TerraMai for a small bathroom counter top job and it took them 10 days to respond...vacation...
ok I can live with that!
then I get an email that says $25 per board foot but let me get a fabrication quote for you...so I wait another 7 days (which by the way my contractor is also waiting)...
not thrilled.....!!
Finally got a quote for $50 per board foot and NO FABRICATION
and NOW they don't call back... Don't bother going to them for anything if this is their way of providing customer
