Meadowbrook Healthcare, the North Country's Provider of Choice, is now offering a full continuum of skilled nursing care including Subacute Rehabilitation, Limited Assistance, Restorative Therapy and Skilled Nursing Services. Meadowbrook is a 287 bed facility in the heart of Plattsburgh, New York. Our campus is nestled within a quiet and secure residential neighborhood adjacent to the area's premier hospital (CVPH).
Meadowbrook Healthcare has been making a positive difference in the lives of North Country families since November of 1974 when we opened our doors. Over time, we have grown and changed to meet the needs of our community. Over the next 5 years the need for Subacute Services increases and Meadowbrook responds to the community need by dedicating an entire unit to Subacute Rehabilitative Care.
Our Rehabilitation Department is comprised of over 30 staff members who have dedicated their careers to helping individuals remain independent, active members of our community. 80 % of our Licensed Therapists share over 15 years of experience in patient care with every patient they treat. I love my career and everything that pertains to making my residents comfortable and ensuring that their plan of care is correct.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I must admit that I’m rather surprised. With that said, I’m also aware that no one or no place is immune to negativity. I can only share my opinion that Meadowbrook Healthcare has been a top-notch facility for both of my parents. My father, aged 92, recently passed, and my mother is currently a resident in The Orchards, a skilled limited assistance wing. To say that she has been treated with kindness, patience, and respect would be a huge understatement, and trust me, if she wasn’t, she’d be the first to inform the family. The staff truly cares

The administrator is nothing less than top notch and treats his employees as such, not as a number. I joined the Meadowbrook team as a young CNA 12 years ago. The pay is competitive and the benefits are great! This has not just been a job, more like a second home. Thanks to their strong support in their staff, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime. I was assisted financially by MBHC to attend nursing school and become an LPN. There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for this opportunity to further my knowledge in nursing while being trusted to care for the wonderful resident’s and patient’s that reside and receive rehabilitation services here. Meadowbrook healthcare is a great place to work. They are fair, have many little benefits that add up, and treat their employees well.
I’ve worked here for seven years and wouldn’t look anywhere else.
The residents are treated like family and with dignity.

My dad was there for 2 years. The staff was amazing they took him in as their own grandpa they all called him papa. They were nice loving very caring group of people We were there every day and not once did we find him dirty or neglected. I HONESTLY can't say enough good stuff about this place. The day my dad died every one on staff who took care of him came in to say goodbye some were crying. Does that sound like a facility that doesn't care

This facility treats their staff terribly. My high school aged sister worked for them for a couple months- they consistently yelled at her, threatened her, and degraded her! Her co-workers told her that when they started they used to go home and cry every day as she has. She even asked off for her graduation well within the alloted time and they refused. When she went in to give her notice because she needed to focus on her studies and college prep they threatened to call BOCES and make sure she would not get in by talking bad about her. While I know many staff memebers work hard to keep residence
