Lozo Karate is a member of the ISKF (International Shotokan Karate Federation). Membership means that all of the ranks and certifications earned through Lozo Karate are recognized all over the world as legitimate martial arts credentials. The ISKF is a traditional Shotokan karate organization, founded 1977 by Master Teruyuki Okazaki, who studied directly under Master Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan karate.
The ISKF is a non-profit organization that strives to uphold the integrity and goals of Master Funakoshi, which includes following the guidelines and principles set forth by the Dojo Kun and Niju Kun. The ISKF is rich in tradition, but continuously moves forward to bring all countries together to follow these same guidelines.

As a successful karate athlete, I have led what my friends tell me is a remarkable life. Time, circumstance, and a great deal of hard karate training have provided me with opportunities that as a young man, I never dreamt possible. My life's experiences, both good and bad, have provided me with an insight to human strengths and weaknesses.
