Towing for a local or state municipality is a very important job because it supports critical functions performed by law enforcement professionals. Police departments, in conjunction with their contract towing companies, are responsible for ensuring public safety, maintaining clear thoroughfares, and assisting accident victims.
While even the smallest tow company can often times do quality local and routine tows, transporting a vehicle or piece of machinery a long distance requires very different skills and equipment. In addition, long-distance transport often involves tight deadlines and more expensive cargo, such as exotic cars or commercial construction materials, which raise the stakes and require the very best results.

Critical: Quality
They weren’t gonna let me get my car out because I was using five dollar bills & one dollar bills the total was 512. When I put the money down for him to count he didn’t like the fact that there was so many bills so he denied the money and wanted other bills!! Dude must not have knew how to count. absolutely dumb.

It's a racket!
Our car was involved in a crash. Star towed it three miles and wanted $400 for a totaled car. When I called, they told me to bring my title and sign it over to them. This is their main objective--charging exorbitant towing fees knowing they'll get the title to the vehicle that way. AVOID THESE CROOKS!

I called last night to arrange for a car to be towed an hour away. I spoke to a very nice man named Andrew who told me to call back this morning at 7:30 when I needed the car towed. He told me they don’t schedule times but there should be no problem and he would let the night person know I would be calling. I began calling at 7:15 and my last attempt was at 7:45. I would get a recording that said all agents were busy and nobody ever answered. Needless to say I called another company who is on their way.

I was driving through Monroe a couple months ago in August with a van full of kids and had a tire blow out on the highway. The truck found us quickly safely fit us all in it and the tow truck and took us to repair shop. The driver was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was so selfless he graciously refused the tip I was trying to give him. All around great guy working for a company that I received great service from!

Last January, I had my first encounter with Star towing Carleton. It was 5 in the morning, my car slid into someones yard from Grafton Rd. Long story short, not including storage fees I had to pay $345 for a five mile tow. I came to pick it up during operating hours and noone was there! I had to wait in a parking lot that wasnt even plowed, our car almost got stuck in the parking lot. To top it off when I got my truck out, they had stolen my brand new black light led beer pong table from my back seat. You know, like I wouldn't notice such a huge item missing from my vehicle... I called them

When I lived near Monroe (or need something near Monroe), this is the service I call. There's nothing really exceptional about them, and I've used other Monroe towing services as well in the past. With Star, I've never had any negative experiences, never dealt with an incompetent or rude worker, never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time, and never been charged too much. When my old car kicked the bucket for the last time a few months ago, I called Star to pick up my car from the side of the expressway. I was at my parents' house two miles away. They gave the arbitrary

My experience with Star Towing was horrible. My crashed vehicle was towed to this company and to my surprise my personal items were stolen out the vehicle. This includes: money, computer, car charger, GPS system, shoes, purse, misc., DVD player, and heated pillow. I did get the computer back, a day after I left because I mentioned that I was filing a police report. So, I had to make an extra trip again. When they could have gave it to me the day before. I asked where the rest of my personal items were, a guy name Kevin became angry and started yelling very loud. He threatened to call the police

I hate to give these guys a bad review after how hard James, the driver worked to get us back on the road!
We had a flat tire and the wheel was rusted on so it was VERY difficult to get it off. I am surprised he even did it.
He was hammering like crazy to get it off. He said to call Steve or Kevin if he had caused any of the damage.
Unfortunately, in the process the brake line got damaged.
I called to ask for help and my husband even asked to borrow their tools to fix it. We were traveling and didn't have the proper tools with us.
They blamed us for having a rusty old car and wouldn
