If I could give this company a negative star rating, ideally, that would be an accurate representation of the deplorable customer service and overall business operations within Pat's Towing.
After attempting to speak to an owner or manager for (5) consecutive days, I was continuously informed by the "dispatcher" that neither were available (despite being informed of their personal "weekly working hours").

Since the business owner responded, I'd like to update my comment further and give anyone else unfortunate enough to run into these men more details.
Background:
- Car belonged to my mother (later sold for 25k)
- My mother unexpectedly and suddenly passed away a week and a half before the car was towed and unfortunately the title to the car was only in her name (relevant later)
Events the night of:
1. (8PM) After I get home from work I realize around 8pm that my mother's car is missing. I call the police department and they tell me that Pat's probably has it.
2. (8PM - 12AM)
Background:

I understand that it was my fault that my car was towed, fine, whatever. But when I called they told me that my car didn't have any plates on it?? Went on a wild goose chase only to find out 2 1/2 hours later that the plates were STILL ON THE GD CAR. How on earth do you get that wrong?? I called them twice confirming it. I missed a bunch of work trying to sort this out. MUCH easier and quicker at other places.

Worst towing company ever. Staff at the facility is rude and very unprofessional. Our car was towed illegally from our apartment parking lot although we had proper permit tagged in the car. When questioned, one of their staff made disgraceful comments at us based on our ethnicity. We lost our money, time and now one of their staff is attacking verbally at us for our ethnical origin.

My dads car got towed from our own street ! I live at this address for 10 years and I use design parking area(at the end of my street) all the time, not only me but my entire street residents uses that area! , we had that car stolen few weeks ago and found it smashed , so I left it at the end of my street and they towed it , when I went to talk to them about, they were very rude ! Massachusetts department of public utilities Should take a action on matters like this !

Absolutely horrendous group of people running this company. Went to twin city plaza to buy some groceries.
Came back after half an hour with shopping cart with full of stuffs, and i saw my car was gone.
I called the company, and he said that his tow truck driver saw me leaving the property. LIAR.....i just went back of the parking lot to smoke a cigarette and came back do my shopping. So looks like these guys wait for you to leave your car, tow it and demand 140 dollars. I am never shopping at the twin city plaza again.
I mentioned it to clerk at the pats tow front desk, that I have a valid receipt

TL;DR. Staff was mostly fine. Don't know what I did to get towed. Still don't know how to appeal the charge.
Bit of a rough experience. Not sure why my car was towed as I didn't exceed the time limit or leave the premises, though, to be fair, all stores were closed by the time I went to leave. The gentlemen attending the desk couldn't let me know why I was towed either for whatever reason. He was curt, but not mean. Probably just got all kinda folks in there and he probably wasn't in the mood to answer my questions. He let me know I could appeal by talking to a manager

My car was recently towed in Cambridge for being parked in a parking permit spot only, which I am totally fine with. What I am not okay with is that one of my tires was severely damaged, causing me to spin out on I93 North and put myself and other drivers around me in a very dangerous situation at a high velocity. Also, after I was towed I had some kind of yellow oil leaking from my car and my check engine light turned on the whole time. Just an update . Tom did EXACTLY as he said he would. I took my receipt down to Pats Towing and he reviewed it and was able to give me a refund!! He was professional about the entire process & I am happy with the outcome.
Although they may have a few bad apples in the bunch ....Tom really helped me out!!
I would suggest anyone to speak with Tom if they are having an issue with a tow when it comes to Pats.

The owners should be ashamed of this "business". It should be called Pat's Scammer's or something along those lines.
For example: they watch the parking outside of our apartment and tow any car that is a minute over the "limit". They're supposed to check with staff inside prior to doing so, but they don't.
Warning to apartments and management companies: DO NOT hire Pat's if you want to retain residents. Pat's is in trouble, financially speaking, so making a quick buck is more important to them than running a professional business.

In general, the employees at Pat's Towing are incredibly aggressive and horrible to converse with. After requesting proof of viable towing, ie pictures etc, I was attacked over the phone and told "I dare you to write a bad review or bring us to court."
I'm usually not one for writing Yelp reviews but felt it was necessary to share after that statement. I would highly reconsider hiring Pat's Towing for any need as they are completely unprofessional.
