Services
Yoga Sol provides opportunities for students interested in more in-depth study of the practices of Yoga, as well as continuing education for existing Yoga teachers. The format is deeply integrated and personal. Only 4 trainees will be accepted. The format meets weekly on Friday mornings from 9-12 and includes participation in Sundays 9:30-11am and Wednesday 9-10:15am classes with Liz.
Do not attend class if you are sick. Pre-register for studio classes as space is limited to 8 people. We have spaces marked for mats to maintain social distancing. Masks are not required because we will have space between us and the big studio doors will be open. When weather permits, we will also offer class outside on our shaded deck.
Each Yoga Sol instructor brings her or his unique experience and perspective to class. We invite you to take a few classes and find the teachers that speak to you. We encourage students to explore our community and discover how yoga can provide different tools to help with life's challenges. We've experienced yoga as a system that can support us in having a more balanced life and a more healthy body and mind.

I have been taking classes at Yoga Sol for the last couple of years. At present I have been regularly taking in studio classes with Meg Hall. I have been taking classes with her for about 15 or 16 years. I have also taken classes with Liz Klug, who is both the co owner of the studio and an extraordinary yoga teacher. Times are tough for small yoga studies. They currently offer classes online and in the studio. In studio classes are limited to 8 people and you need to sigh up in advance to assure a spot. They are maintaining the highest level of hygiene and appropriate social distancing. I have

Visiting Columbia for my best friends 50th birthday we stopped in for a yoga class with Sady and had an excellent experience! A stunning studio with a tranquil backdrop you don't want to miss! They have one of the most beautiful studios I have ever had the honor to practice!! Sady was excellent and provided perfect instruction to every level! Thank you!

Very much a mind and body experience. Focuses heavily on mindfulness, while not neglecting the workout aspect.
Liz is very engaging and enthusiastic. However, with me she was hands off; while it could have been due to it being my first time, or that in general I do the poses correctly, she could have been more hands on, literally.
Being as I generally do hot yoga, the class was a delightful change of pace, while maintain its challenging aspects.
Wonderful studio and atmosphere! Definitely will be returning in the future!

Yoga Sol is a wonderful, warm, and welcoming place to experience many different kinds of yoga with the best teachers in Columbia.
Despite its beautiful and organic studio, Yoga Sol is more than a studio, it's a supportive and welcoming community full of yogis at all points along the path. The people at the studio range from accomplished (and very stretchy!) young yogis to older beginners and everything in between, and all are made welcome by both teachers and fellow students. With its multiplicity of teachers and styles--from Polly's wonderful wave flow to Megan's Yin--Yoga Sol

I went to a class that had "beginner" in the title. I hadn't been to yoga in years. I'm going through a stressful time, and thought yoga would be a good mind/body thing for me to get into. Well, not here. The instructor kept berating the class that they weren't listening, and she was just talking to herself. She did help some, including me at points but always with an edge to her voice. I did a pose and got the hands wrong. She told me, "you need to work on your listening skills." Wow. That is no way to motivate. I left there feeling much worse than when I went

I'm going to have to agree with the previous comment and add, that I went there personally to ask about classes as a beginner I was treated very rudely, even to the point I was embarrassed in front of other people. I was asked to get on line or call them. I emailed them...no response...and this has been 2-3 weeks ago.
On the other hand AlleyCat Yoga returned my emails immediately and been very nice/helpful.
I cannot at all recommend Yoga Sol.

Caution: some of the sessions don't welcome less than advanced students. I picked a session titled 'IYENGAR FOR ALL', thinking the 'for all' part meant it was inclusive. It wasn't. I was not allowed to continue. Bummer. Some of the other sessions might be ok, but there definitely needs to be better guidance about the intended students.
Later, a friend took me as a guest to a yoga session at Wilson Athletics. This was much better in many ways, with music, mirrors (so you can see the instructor doing the pose), and a gentle attitude toward less than perfect students
