The cops wrongfully called this tow truck on me. Luckily I caught them before they pulled off, showed them paperwork and my car was released. However, when I entered my car to put it back in the parking space I found a huge spider web crack on my windshield that wasn't there before. By then the tow truck left. I told the 3 officers that were there and they all acted like it was their first time noticing this crack, they gave me the information to this company so I can go in person to file a claim. So I did just that. Upon arrival Hector denied he caused the damage and proclaimed he had photos

Bunch of scamming idiots. I tell them the rental car company is paying the bill and he looks at me crazy. Says he's never heard of that, "you can only pay in person there is no other way." I tell him let me make a call then. The whole time he is berating me saying I was misinformed because that isn't how this works. Then I tell him the company is filling out a credit card release form. He completely changes his story and calls someone else and confirms what I was told. It's just baffling when people make such absolute claims then completely go against what they just claimed

This company is pure evil. If SMPD recovers a stolen car, this is where they send it, and you will pay at least a thousand dollars to get it back. There is some kind of crooked deal going on. If you are towed by the city for tickets, you will get the same treatment. If you don't pay, they will sell your car. There are always a lot of cars for sale here. It's a legal, police backed car theft ring.

Excessive fees. Still had to pay daily rate plus tow charge and my vehicle was 'stored' for 1.5 hours. No mention by BH Records; all they said was pay BH impound fee and walk to impound center.
Car towed 1.7 miles; Stored less than 1.5 hours.

This doesn't include BH impound fee + ticket.
2 guys chatting and milling around (watching tv) when I walked in.

Tip Top Tow service illegally towed my car from a private lot My friend manages and let me keep my car in, and then refused to comply with California State Law on showing me the written authorization for the towing before making me pay.
I recorded the entire interaction to obtain my car and still with the camera on them, the company tells me repeatedly that I'm not entitled to see any written authorization. They don't give out anything to vehicle owners that explains what to do if they are illegally towed either. This service has a company policy which is against the law, and with the video obtained

The dispatcher, Jimmy, was incredibly helpful regarding my broken ignition- he got my car started, and even jumped it for me, all for the affordable price of $65. He recommended an auto repair shop to me that would be cheaper than taking it to the dealer for the long-term fix. I'd recommend Tip Top Tow to others (if you voluntarily need a tow, that is...)
