I've been looking for a nail salon to call as my usual spot and I've found it! The service was amazing, my nail tech was professional, friendly and did an amazing job taking care of my nails. This is the place to be! She even painted little flowers with a little red dot for good luck into the New Year

The nails were ok but I paid 55 for the simple job they did, anywhere else charges around 30 for this. Then they put glitter on my toes without asking and I hate big chunky glitter. Then the piece de resistance, I tokd the tech to just clean up my eyebrows and she completely waxed off the tail off my eyebrows which took me forever to shape properly, the technician just said "you can draw on tail with pencil". I don't wear makeup. Never going back.

I waited to leave a review till I had been coming here for a few months to make sure I was consistently happy and I have been! Staff is always friendly and I have always loved how my nails come out. The few times something minor has been wrong (a bump in the polish or something like that) they have always fixed it and never made me feel like I was being an inconvenience by asking them to fix it. I've tried multiple nail places in Mira Mesa and this is by far my favorite and the only one I will keep coming back to!

I don't know why this place has only 3.5 stars because it is actually AMAZING! Everyone speaks English fluently and is very warm. The nail job is just absolutely great! Look how thin, naturally looking my nails are after an acrylic overlay with gel! Most places make thick "shovels" instead of beautiful nails, but this place is the best of the best!! I would absolutely recommend it to all of my friends and I will leave a five star review each time I'm here to help raise its rating because 3.5 stars is totally unfair.

I called them at 5 p.m. and was hoping they bad an appt avail. And they did. (You know how they always say they do) and when I got there, that took me right away.
I had a pedicure. Probably one of the best ones I've had in a long time. Anna was so good. And I'm not the type who wants to sit in the chair forever. I Alije it when they get the job done and done right! And she did. I'd recommend this place hands down.
And as I was sitting there, there was another women who came in and of course I was listening. Guess this place has been there for like 30 yrs. Kuddos to them for longevity

The pushiness and up selling was crazy and uncomfortable. I needed a quick pedicure because I only had about 35-40 minutes to spare. Sat down and asked for their basic pedicure and they lady 4 times told me I needed the $34 pedicure to make my "skin soft". I get pedicures every two weeks so my feet are well taken care of. Soo I ended up paying for the $34 for exfoliant/callus remover which did not remove the very small amount of callus I have...
Unfortunately I didn't have time to drive over to my normal nail place in Poway but I wish I had. Definitely do NOT want recommend this

The manicure was so so nothing special. I did have to ask her to clean my cuticles which I thought was odd. The regular paint lasted a whole...day before it started to chip! I called and ask if she could fix it since I still had my receipt but they said no, sorry I should have got gel. I know the gel craze is the rage but I like regular polish and finding a place with non thinned out regular nail polish with a decent top coat is hard. I didn't have any other service so I would be of no help with acrylics.

Cindy and Lani were sensational and so friendly. These two ladies made this impromptu visit so worth that we will definitely be coming back each time we come to San Diego. Great service and great communication.
Now for the environment. Great place, atmosphere and the massage chairs are awesome.

I have been going here for over 20 years. They have kept many of the original staff. It is so nice to be greeted and exchange stories about our children. On holidays I have asked for custom designs, e.g. candy corn or candy cane stripes and they have obliged me. The interior has been maintained and remodeled.

I am new to the area of mira mesa and decided to try a new spot and i sow how bad the pictures on yelp was! But i was like no i will give them a chance!
Believe me is not worth your money.. when my nails were done i hated it the gel work is terrible is not suppose to be uneven, not clean work and after a few days my skin started to peel because of the poor way they cut dead skin
Anyone can do a better job themselves then coming here

My local nail spot. I know I can come and get a decent mani pedi without having to travel outside Scripps Ranch.
I was really happy about the suggestion of the powder dipped nails. I'm a busy mom and it's been over a week and they've held up well!
The lack of a Star is because I felt my pedicure was rushed. Not bad but not amazing.
I'll be back for sure!

That is such a disappointment. I used to come here a while back and was happy with the service and the end result.
Today I realized that I will never come back.
First off, I wanted to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure but was convinced by the gentleman that powder is better. Ok, I agreed. Then he never took care of my cuticles and just went straight for the powder.
At the end my nails look like a 5 year old painted them. Very messy.
The lady that did my pedicure was wonderful. Very polite, caring and my toes look great! Thank you.

I took a break from manicures for about two months after getting frequent gel manicures. I buffed my nails weekly and they were growing back stronger.
I came to Moon Nails & Spa for my first natural manicure in several months and the manicurist used a coarse file on the top surface of my nail. I was given an excuse of why it was necessary. The surface of my nail is now all scratched up and rigid. I won’t go back here again.
