Great room. Minimalist, loved it. Everything was hidden away or streamlined. Enjoyed the attached restaurant, although they were unable to meet the timeline they committed to. The food was excellent but pricey, as are the rooms but it is a 21c. The collection was eclectic, fun, thought provoking and worth viewing.

Hotel is thoughtfully represented in a historic area of downtown, rightfully representing its past as a former ford factory.
Parking outside of valet is a bit out of the way, but a little walk is expected and enjoyed when your down town. Just prepare for inclement weather if your not valet parking.
Upon checking in the staff was extremely kind and helpful, they answered any questions we had and asked if we had stayed before. In case you haven’t they will give you a run down of what to expect from the hotel, it’s amenities, and it’s rooms. The food is great and can be ordered from room service

My husband and I stayed a month ago. The location is perfect! We were able to tour local breweries and eat dinner. We loved big shower and room. The staff members were kid. It was difficult getting to parking from inside the hotel. Everything wasn’t labeled well.

This was an incredible place to stay. What an amazing concept. The entire place is a feast for the eyes, including the elevator! I will definitely be staying at other 21Cs if I come across them in my travels.

Stayed here with my flight crew and we LOVED it! The Museum has beautiful artwork and the rooms are stunning. The staff downstairs were very friendly and even helped me charge my phone when my charger decided it was done. They recommended a nice little place around the corner, which I really enjoyed! We’re already planning a trip to OKC just to visit this hotel again.

The ambience and art of 21c was great but our overall experience was disappointing.
When the valet brought up a roll away bed we requested he didn’t bring linens or a blanket. When we asked if we could get those things he said they had a blanket but it was more “like a large towel”.
The shower was roomy and water pressure was great but the handheld sprayer didn’t sit in the holder so you had no choice but to hold it the entire time while showering. The bathroom had only half a roll of toilet paper when we arrived as well as only one towel set. We asked for housekeeping to provide fresh

This is a really cool and cool rooms as well. Their concept is different, but an experience. I would recommend staying here, as it's located central in Lexington and prices are very reasonable. Valet parking is an option.

Friendly staff, created an easy check in and check out experience. Room was very nice and clean. The view of downtown Lexington was great and close to restaurants/businesses to walk to. Would definitely stay here again!

Really nice hotel with great art pieces. Room was very nice as well. My only small gripe is they could have used some more art pieces, particularly in the large open room. Would have been so cool if there were some great sculptures in there.

Taking away from what should have been five stars: minus one star because the wifi was spotty and didn't work when I needed it. Minus another star because they did not service our room during our stay - how did this happen?? When we asked a maid to make up the room, she told us to go downstairs and put our room on the "list". Not the reply I was looking for.

Otherwise room was comfy and I liked the staff. Friendly and flexible service. Great location in an historic building and walkable to many nice restaurants and bars. Kid friendly and pet friendly hotel.

For what it's worth, I responded on Yelp and also emailed Gabe directly to take him up on his offer to "make things right" and received no response.

Looks like their managerial standard is to respond to people on Yelp to appear empathetic but never follow through with any actual action. Shame that an Accor hotel would be managed this poorly.

Attention Lexingtonians and natives in the surrounding areas, This is a Museum/ Hotel you don't want to miss! Although my complete intentions were to go to the museum and that's it but the hotel landscape is beautiful as well as the Lockbox restaurant attached! Check my Lockbox review for details on the restaurant. In the museum there is a lot of beautiful art displayed and we had a fantastic time viewing each multicultural art piece and I highly recommend it and we will return soon. This museum is completely FREE, with booking ahead of time. You can go online to their website and book

This is a very interesting museum and hotel, restaurant combination. I am glad I came for a visit. I only viewed the museum and toured the entire property. I had a drink at the bar and it was delicious. I did get to tour a suite and it was lovely. I was impressed with the concept of sharing art with the community! What a nice jewel in the heart of downtown.

What a cool hotel. I stayed here while I was attending a conference. It is located pretty close to the University of Kentucky and around some really great restaurants. It seems to be a combination of a hotel and a contemporary art museum. All the spaces in the hotel are really cool. There are lots of Instagramable spots. There is a nice restaurant, bar and working space onsite.

It was a pretty quick elevator ride to my room. The room was pretty spacious and clean. The room had a pretty modern decor with a splash of retro and color. The bed was comfortable and linens were comfortable. The bathroom

We chose 21c Museum Hotel because it was walking distance to our client business location and the Hotel sounded like an interesting place to lodge. The hotel was originally the Fayette National Bank, known mostly as the First National Bank. The bank vault with its original door is a private dining room. The Hotel is a combination contemporary art museum and boutique hotel chain. 21c Museum is exhibiting contemporary art from various ambitions. Some of the art exhibited is quite out there.

The rooms seem to project a 60's trendy contemporary design with blue penguin statues on every floor

I haven't stayed at the hotel so this review will just be on the museum. We love the unique art pieces. A recent exhibit focused on pop culture. It's free to get into the museum, which is amazing. It makes for a fun thing to do for a night with friends or a fun date night downtown. Also, for those influencers out there, there are endless areas for your photo shoots and inspiration. It's wonderful to have something like this in the midst of downtown.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter what 21c you visit, it is always a mini adventure. After visiting the Louisville, Nashville and Cincinnati locations, I've learned that this one is just as cool.

Note: I have not stayed at this hotel, just explored the main area and the galleries. The museum is completely free to explore, which is a really cool thing to stop in and do if you're spending time in the city. There are a few different rooms and you will find different genres of art: photography, paintings, videography and some 3D pieces too. Most of it is modern/new age.

Now how cool is this place? A combination hotel and contemporary art museum, it is a treat for your senses from the minute you walk in the front door (did I mention it's also in an old historic bank building which makes it just that much cooler?) with the abstract light piece in the front hallway and big blue penguin standing just inside.

Up a couple of stairs to the right you will find the check in staff who will warmly greet you and let you know that your room key gives you full access to both floors of the museum during your stay. We were starving and since the dining room had closed

I was very disappointed with my stay. 21C is suppose to be THE top hotel in lexington. We stayed on our wedding night, so I had high hopes. Afterwards, I'd argue the Hampton Inn is better. The hotel, which use to be an old bank, is very outdated. In an attempt to keep the look of the old bank, it seems creepily old. For the price you pay, the customer service did not meet expectations. The beds are comfortable and the soaps provided in the bathrooms are decent. The "art galleries" are lacking "art." Some galleries we're almost empty. You must valet park your car. I

If you are looking for a very cool, modern, hip place to have your wedding or social event, the 21c Museum Hotel is it! They have gorgeous space with huge windows overlooking downtown Lexington. And there are several rooms and spaces to work with. I was very impressed by the level of customer service we received. From putting together the contract to finalizing the floor plans and last minute details, everyone was incredibly quick to respond and very warm and helpful. It was just such a pleasure to work with Kaitlan and Molly - they made the entire experience so easy.

Is it a museum or a hotel? Yes.

I didn't stay here, but my friends did, and I was here for a private brunch. The food here was SO good. All your southern staples in gigantic portions. Plus they set up a bar (like, literally created a bar. I saw them take it down completely and was in awe).

Past that, you can walk around and look at the art for free. Maybe even purchase a $1500 blue penguin (each 21c location has a different color!). They've got a ton of great art, and it's a great way to kill half an hour or so.

Hotel staff are also amazingly friendly and helpful!

Oscar Wilde wrote "Life imitates art far more than art imitates life." You can experience both life and art at the 21c Museum Hotel located at 167 West Main Street in Lexington KY. 21c Museum/ Hotel is located in the old Fayette National Bank Building thus, by turning a bank into a museum/hotel actually is life imitating art. One can feel the history as you walk throughout the museum/hotel and if you eat in the restaurant, take a look at the Vault Room.

I have stayed here once before. I was just in town for a conference and they booked a block of rooms for us. With my commitments, I arrived at the hotel at 9:30 PM. Zeph Craven checked me in and was pleasant, enthusiastic and professional. The room was great, modern, clean, attractive and roomy.

But it was Thursday Night Live in Lexington and the party didn't end til 3:00 AM. In spite of the heavy black out curtain and being on the 7th floor, the noise level was awful. Not much sleep. Although not their fault, makes me think again about a downtown hotel for next time.

I had an early start

Having been around Lexington for much of my life, I once had a legal "runner" job which required me to pick up and drop off documents at the First National Bank Building. Clyde Stapleton, the Fayette County Master Commissioner, had on office on one of the upper floors, requiring law firms to send runners to and from the building with building/land sales documents.

During the 80's, the building, while still in nice shape and filled with various businesses and offices, was a little dusty and was being shadowed, both figuratively and literally, by brand new office buildings which
