Room was clean and recently remodeled. Also featured a sizable balcony. A short drive to more than one public beach, it's a great deal for the area 👍

The service at Sand Castle Inn is exemplary! The rooms are renovated and clean. I left my favorite jacket here and every employee I talked to in order to get this jacket back was so friendly and helpful in making sure I got it back. Thank you EJ and all for your amazing hospitality and guest service.

Mold on the bathroom walls and shower, and a VERY mysterious stain on the upholstery of a room chair. Don't let the modern furnishing efforts deceive you. It is decent for the price as many others have rated. But it is so overdue for a cleaning. And the smell of mold is very apparent when you first walk in, so while you can't open the windows, you're either forced to breathe it or keep the entrance slightly open and latched at the top. Water pressure from the shower head was pitiful, and even at the highest setting never got hot. Decent, but it's no Marriott. You get what you

Extremely dissatisfied with this hotel and especially the rudeness of the management. We stayed in an ADA room for one night. The hotel is very old and noise factor is annoying. My biggest complaint, however, is the visible black mold on the underside of the shower bench (which is a vinyl covered padded bench- not at all sanitary). Upon bringing it to management’s attention this morning, their first response was, “we cannot refund you for the night because you stayed here - why didn’t you mention it before?” I informed them that I noticed it this morning when using the shower, but they

I was actually a little skeptical at first but I will say in the end I didn’t have any issues at all. Everything was pleasant and I was a loner travel by myself so I always worry. The only reason I’m giving a 4 is because there was a chair in my room with a lot of stains on it. Please replace it, other than that this is a MUST BOOK!!! Everything is pretty close by!!

Wonderful experience. We arrived a bit earlier than their check in time (3pm), but they let us check in early because they had a spot. However, there was some sort of issue with my payment card. Instead of making us wait, the owner (manager?) gave us the room key and said he'd try it again later and give us a call if something went wrong. It all worked out, but I was very happy with how it was handled.
Especially for the price, I was happy with the amenities. Internet was fast enough for streaming, though it wasn't a secure network. A/C was powerful, the TV had cable, and the fridge was surprisingly

For a 2 stars hotel is very affordable! The room is clean, organized nicely with a good smell. There is a refrigerator, microwave more than 2 mirrors and a lot of space!

It is okay, nothing amazing, good bed, plenty of hot water, tv might need an upgrade and the carpet needs a steam cleaning, but overall the place is just right for the price.

Close to many restaurants and not far from downtown Monterrey.

The rooms are really nice! Beautiful modern style. Well cleaned and maintained. I would stay here again! The reception lady is nice and friendly.
The only issue I have was there's no coffee maker in the room. I didn't try asking the staff though. Maybe they have it on order.

8We were treated very rudely, my husband was stereotyped because he is a young black man we had to leave a 300.00 deposit, while the others in our group who were not black did not have to leave a deposit at all, The front desk staff were very rude, he kept repeating the rules over and over, but when I asked the others were they drilled they said no. I am highly disappointed in the treatment we received. Racial stereotyping is alive and well at this hotel. We will never return and neither will our friends. I give this hotel 0 stars. Our trip was ruined by the treatment we received

This place was filthy . The staff were very friendly but way over worked. As the world is struggling with the current pandemic they took zero effort to protect their customers and their staff. No crowd control, filthy fire pit, the poor lady making americanos also had to make bloody Mary's and clean up and serve and make the food. She was there from early am to 11pm at night. No mask. Tables filthy. Nobody bussed our table for 45 minutes. Ridiculous! I called & no manager on duty! In addition to this, the table in my room had crumbs and water rings which shows they were not cleaning the

This place is very reasonable and location is near to a beach and shopping center. The rooms are very clean and you can tell they take much pride on how they prepare the rooms with practically every looks new and they use good materials. They put extra to the room so they look very presentable. I will be back again for another three day stay.

Got this off of Hotels.com and it was terrible. BED BUGS EVERYWHERE. Told the man something at the front desk and he just acted like he didn't know. Now I'm spraying my house because I'm still getting bit. Never again.

The pillows were comfortable, the parking was easy, the inside was updated with nice tile in the bathroom, and the place was quiet... BUT... there was some trash and someone's old hair-tie on the carpet next to the bed, the shower-head piping was loose, room, the mattress was pretty old and springy/squeaky, and the chair had a big, weird stain on it.

Really enjoyed this place. It's been recently remodeled and the room was beautiful and the bathroom was huge. They allow dogs ($30 per day) and are located within a couple of blocks of some nice cafes. There is a nice pizza place next door. I was kind of dreading a motel stay but I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Recently stayed here as me and my daughter were in town to attend her freshman orientation at CSUMB.
This was one of the cheaper options on hotels.com and since we were only staying one night it was the obvious choice for me.

Pretty easy to find located very close to the freeway. Check in was pretty fast. After we checked in me and my daughter put out bags on the bed and left immediately to go eat etc. side note we ate at a restaurant next door Gustos and it was super delish!! Def worth a try! After dinner we went to cannery row and that is when the hotel called me and said they gave me the wrong

I came here the beginning of June for the Spartan race in Monterey, and it was perfect for what I needed. The in-room refrigerator and microwave worked without any problems. The room itself was clean, and housekeeping did a great job each day that I stayed. Also, there is an outdoor washer. I didn't need to use it, but it was nice to have as an option.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants, and I definitely felt safe walking in the early evening in the neighborhood. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

Sand Castle Inn is my family's new go-to place to stay when visiting Monterey. Located in Seaside, it's worth staying a little farther out vs staying at a place closer to Cannery Row that have nasty rooms and a high price.

It seemed that they newly renovated their rooms: new fixtures and furniture. Our stay felt clean, which was all I can ask for.

There was also a door that led to a small balcony with a view of Costco across the street lol.

Everything is new and everything was clean! Room 204.

The shower was clean and the soaps are even made in usa!
Theres a window inside the bathroom too which I like.
The weather was perfect and didnt have to turn anything on.

Free parking without any trouble finding a spot.

I would definitely come here again!

You can buy the monterey bay aquarium here which you get 2 day visits for the price of one.

No brekkie but thats no big deal.
Theres some pizza/ pasta place in the same lot and it has
